摘要： PURPOSE: To remove thoroughly the remaining part of scale by incorporating a jet spray system for a final pickling tank, monitoring the surface of a steel strip with optical cameras or the like between said tank and the inlet side thereof or the tank before the same and performing jet spraying in accordance with the signals detected with said cameras.
CONSTITUTION: A final pickling tank 3 which is, for example, the 3rd tank, is provided with a jet spray consisting of a pair of jet sprays 5, 5 provided above and below a steel strip 4. A pair of optical cameras or luminance meters 6, 6 for monitoring facing to both surfaces of the strip 4 are installed between the tank 3 and a pickling tank 2 before the same, and the presence or absence of the scale remaining on said surfaces is detected in accordance with the luminance on both surfaces of the strip 4.
