    • PURPOSE: The titled fiber that is obtained by combining a tin compound containing a phenyl group with a polymer composed of acrylonitrile, a halogen-containing monomer and an olefin and subjecting the mixture to spinning thus being suitable for use as curtains, because it retains gloss even after dyeing.
      CONSTITUTION: A polymer which is composed of 30W70wt% of acrylonitrile, 70W30wt% of a halogen-containing monomer such as vinyl chloride and 0W 10wt% of an olefin copolymerizable with them such as acrylamide is combined with a tin compound bearing a phenyl group represented by the formula (X is Cl, Br; R is 1W8C alkyl, cyclohexyl; a is integer of 0W4; b is integer of 0W4; c is integer of 0W3; d is 0W3 integer; m is 0W3 integer, where a+b+c+d=4, a+b≥1) such as monobutyltin triphenyl by 0.2W3.0wt%, then they are subjected to spinning to obtain the objective synthetic fiber.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain a high-shrinkage acrylonitrile fiber free from the loss of clarity, by adding water to a solution of a copolymer having a specific composition, and carrying out the wet spinning of the dope.
      CONSTITUTION: A copolymer having an acrylonitrile content of 80W92wt% is dissolved in dimethylformamide, dimethylacetamide or dimethyl sulfoxide, and 1.0W 6.0wt% water is added to the dope. The fiber obtained by the wet spinning of the above dope is subjected to the primary drawing at a draw ratio of ≤3.0, dried, and finally subjected to the secondary drawing in hot air of 100W140°C at a draw ratio of 1.5W3.0. A fiber free from the loss of clarity can be produced even by a wet spinning process, and the low-temperature drying process after the secondary drawing can be eliminated. The titled fiber produced by the above process has a shrinkage of ≥30%, preferably ≥35%.

    • PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition giving a textile product having remarkably improved light resistance and weather resistance, by compounding a specific UV-absorber in combination with an epoxy-containing polymer.
      CONSTITUTION: A halogen-containing polymer such as vinyl chloride polymer, a compolymer of vinyl chloride and acrylonitrile monomer, etc., is compounded with a compound selected from benzotriazole compounds, cyanoacrylate compounds, and nickel complex salt compounds, together with an epoxy-containing polymer. The epoxy-containing polymer is e.g. glycidyl methacrylate polymer, epoxidized buta- diene polymer, etc., and pref. has a low epoxy number. It is possible to incorporate metallic soaps, antioxidants, etc. for the thermal stabilization, however, the additive should be selected cautiously because the combined use with some organotin compound causes the lowering of the effect.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain the titled fiber in high efficiency, without using a low- temperature drying after the secondary drawing, by carrying out the wet spinning of a copolymer composed mainly of acrylonitrile and containing a specific amount of acid group, and subjecting the obtained filament successively to the primary drawing, drying, and the secondary drawing in hot air.
      CONSTITUTION: A high-shrinkage fiber is produced by the following process using a copolymer having an acrylonitrile content of 80W92wt%. Acrylonitrile is copolymerized with a monomer containing acid group (e.g. sodium methallylsulfonate) to obtain an acrylonitrile copolymer containing ≥60m-equivalent of the acid group per 1kg of the copolymer. The obtained copolymer is dissolved in DMF, etc. and the dope is extruded through a spinning nozzle into a coagulation bath. The filament obtained by the above wet-spinning process is subjected to the primary drawing at a draw ratio of ≤3.0, dried, and finally subjected to the secondary drawing in hot air of 100W140°C at a draw ratio of 1.5W3.0.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain the titled synthetic fibers having improved luster, transparancy and flame retardancy, by spinning a solution containing a polymer consisting of acrylonitrile, a monomer containing a halogen and a copolymerizable monomer in a specific composition, an organotin compound and an organic solvent.
      CONSTITUTION: A solution containing (A) a polymer consisting of (a) 30W70wt% acrylonitrile, (b) 70W30wt% monomer containing a halogen, e.g. vinyl chloride, and (c) 0W10wt% one or more olefinic monomers copolymerizable therewith, e.g. acrylamide, (B) an organotin compound, e.g. dibutyltin ethylmaleate, and (C) an organic solvent, e.g. dimethylformamide, as a spinning solution is spun to give the aimed fibers having improved luster and transparancy. The amount of the component (B) is preferably 0.2W10wt% based on the component (A).
