    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sediment, sand gravel, excavated muck and the like from flowing into an inner space part of a joint of a pile material when the pile material is driven into ground.
      SOLUTION: When the pile material 300, which is equipped with the joint, is driven into the ground 500 by using a filling device 1, the filling device is firstly inserted into the inner space part of the joint of the pile material. Next, a fluid is infilled into a bag body of the filling device via a channel, so as to expand the bag body. The pile material is driven into the ground in a state wherein the expanded bag body is brought into close contact with an inner wall of the joint. After the completion of driving, the fluid is gradually discharged from the filling device. Subsequently, when the fluid is discharged from the filling device, the filling device is taken out from the joint. Since the pile material is driven by using the device like this, the sediment and the like can be prevented from flowing into the inner space part of the joint via a slit and the like. This can prevent the occurrence of a situation wherein driving is not performed as designed, because driving resistance is increased due to the inflow of the sand gravel and the like into the inner space part of the joint, in construction work for driving the pile material into the ground.
