    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel structure having excellent economy and capable of realizing the structure in which axial force in the peripheral direction is effective by reducing bending among cross sectional force while utilizing an advantage of a rectangular cross section shield tunnel to reduce average thickness of a member as the whole cross section.
      SOLUTION: An outer peripheral face side of the rectangular cross section shield tunnel 1 has an arc shape for reducing stress concentration in only a corner part 6, and the parts other than it are straight. An inner peripheral face side is constituted by combination of a plurality of arc-shaped curves having different radius of curvature except a join part 7 of an intermediate column or an intermediate wall 5 part. Thickness of a member in the corner part 6 is large, and thickness of a member in a central part of left and right side walls 4 and an intermediate part between a top board 2 and a bottom board 3 (a central part of the left and right side walls 4 and the intermediate column or the intermediate wall 5) is small.
