摘要： PURPOSE:To operate a vehicle coupler not only manually but also remotely by means of an actuator by installing said actuator for operating a manual operation lever via an auxiliary arm. CONSTITUTION:With a lock plunger 7 being fitted into the engaging groove of a connecting hook by means of a manual operation lever 11, an air cylinder 58 is slightly extended from the solid line position in its initial condition. Thereby, a rotary shaft 54 is rotated via a swinging arm 57 up to the position of the two-dot chain line, rotating an auxiliary arm 51 in the direction of the arrow 59 to move the manual operation lever 11 in the direction of the arrow 13. When the air cylinder 58 is further extended, a plunger guide body 53 which is engaged with the long hole of the auxiliary arm 51 is moved as shown by the dashed line while sliding along a hole wall. Thereby, the manual lever 11 is rotated clockwise, retracting the lock plunger 7 via a guide part, to automatically remove a king pin from the connecting hook.

CONSTITUTION:When a tractor is in a state to be coupled with a trailer, a king pin P of the trailer is grasped to grasping parts 4a and 4a formed to the surfaces, positioned facing each other, of jaws 4 and 4 on both sides. Wedge parts 7b and 7b of a lock plunger 7 energized to a lock position through the force of a spring 10 are inserted in a lock position between reinforcing ribs 6 and 6 and contact surfaces 4c and 4c of the jaws 4 and 4 to regulate opening of the jaws 4 and 4. In this case, since an engaging part 13a of a lock arm 13 is present in a lock position located facing a front wall 3b, serving as the contact part of a coupler base 3, with a slight gap left therebetween, the lock plunger 7 is prevented from advancing to a non-engagement position.

摘要： PURPOSE:To facilitate separation of a king pin on the trailer side detained with a coupler on tractor side, which should be made throng remote control, by performing traction operation with a wire rope, and by remotely controlling an opening/closing lever through an L-shaped cam. CONSTITUTION:A coupler is situated under a main plate 18 and rotated round a pin 2, and has a split lock 1 to couple the king pin 5. If a wire rope 14 is drawn in the direction shown by the arrow in the attached illustration, in the condition that these coupler and king pin 5 are coupled as shown, an L-shaped cam 13 rotates a pin 26 round a fulcrum clockwise, and a vertical pin 25 is pressed by said L-shaped cam 13. This causes an opening/closing lever 8 to move to the left against the action of a spring 16, and puts a stopper 22 in released condition with the aid of a swinging piece 21. If the rope 14 is further drawn, a slide 12 loose fitted on another opening/closing lever 18 slides along a guide 27, and subsequent upward sliding of a detent piece 3 against the action of a spring 4 will put the detent piece in released condition.
