    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to ride over a stepped part by providing a cylinder-driven shuttle slide cylinder on the outer periphery of an intake pipe, then installing a parallel link and further, a shuttle drive wheel on the cylinder- driven shuttle slide cylinder through a link respectively, and pressing each drive wheel against the inner surface of a pipe-line. CONSTITUTION:A front slide cylinder 27a is moved to the rear and a rear slide cylinder 27b is moved to the front using the first air cylinder 37. Consequently, front and rear parallel links 23, 24 are shrunk in a radial direction. Next, in this state, an intake pipe 14 is set in a pipe-line 10, and front and rear driven wheels 26a, 26b are allowed to come in contact with the inner surface of the tubular path 10 by reversing each part using the first air cylinder 37. When moving the intake pipe 14 through the pipe-line 10 to perform cleaning by suction, the first air cylinder 37 contracts through the front activation link 36a as the front drive wheel 26a climbs over a stepped part 10a. Thus only the front slide cylinder 27a moves backward and thereby the front parallel link 23 contracts to allow the front drive wheel 26a to fit into the pipe inner diameter d7 of the stepped part 10a. The same process takes place on the rear drive wheel 26b.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonizing furnace designed to be regulated at the set pressure, respectively in each region of a heating chamber divided into the plurality of regions and stably carry out each treatment such as drying and carbonization in the environment suitable for each.
SOLUTION: The carbonizing furnace comprises the heating chamber 3 having burners 6 and a tubular retort 5 slightly tilted in the heating chamber 3. The retort 5 is rotatably supported and heats a material W to be heated while moving the material W charged into the interior to be heated. The heating chamber 3 is divided into the plurality of regions in the longitudinal direction of the retort 5 with partition plates 13. Exhaust pipes 8 mounted on the retort 5 discharge a combustible gas produced from the heated material W to be heated into each region of the heating chamber 3. Each region is regulated to the set pressure, respectively by regulating the discharge of the gas from the interior of the divided regions with a pressure regulating apparatus.

    • PURPOSE:To arrange a suction pipe accurately at the axial position of a duct, and to prevent the generation of indentations and bulging sections during cleaning operation by expanding three or more of parallel links mounted at approximately equally divided positions on the circumference of the suction pipe. CONSTITUTION:Three or more of parallel links 23, 24 expansible in the radial direction are supported at approximately equally divided positions on the circumference of a suction pipe 14 disposed at the axial position of a duct 10, and driving wheels 26a, 26b are supported to each parallel link 23, 24. Sliding cylinders 27a, 27b for working the parallel links 23, 24 and operating links 36a, 36b are installed. The suction pipe 14 is admitted into the duct 10, the sliding cylinders 27a, 27b are slid by air cylinders 37, 39, and the parallel links 23, 24 are expanded toward the outside in the radial direction through the operating links 36a, 36b. Consequently, the driving wheels 26a, 26b are brought into contact at approximately equally divided positions on the circumference of the internal surface of the duct 10, and the suction pipe 14 is arranged accurately at the axial location of the duct 10 by the stretching action of each parallel link 23, 24. Accordingly, the front end of a suction nozzle 17 is oscillated along the internal surface of the duct 10, thus preventing the generation of the suction residual section of sludge, etc.
