    • PURPOSE:To separate waste water into a waste water containing high concentrations of SiO2 and a waste water containing high concentrations of COD components as well as remove COD components effectivey from ion exchange resin regeneration waste water discharged from a pure water-manufacturing process using ion exchange resins. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of pure water in which original water is passed in order through the cation exchange tower K, the decarbonation tower D, and the anion exchange tower A. The anion exchange tower A is made up of the first tower A1 packed with a weakly basic anion exchange resin or a neutral and basic anior exchange resin and the second tower A2 packed with a strongly basic anion exchange resin. For regeneration, the K tower is regenerated by HCl or H2SO4 and the regeneration waste water is introduced into the first waste water tank W, and also the A2 tower is regenerated by NaOH and the regeneration waste water is introduced into the tank W for neutralization. On the other hand, the A1 tower is regenerated by NaOH and the regeneration waste water is introduced into the tank W2 where its pH is regulated and then sent to the active carbon adsorption tower AC for treatment.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of scale by separating pure water, obtained by treating original water with ion exchange resins, into permeated water and concentrated water and by using the permeated water as boiler supply water. CONSTITUTION:Original water, pretreated by the pretreatment apparatus 2 through the original water pipe 7, the original water tank 1, and the piping 8, is supplied through the pipe 9 to the pure water-manufacturing apparatus 3, where it is decationized by cation exchange resin and at the same time deanionized by anion exchange resin, and then supplied to the membrane separator 4 into which the permeable membrane 4a is built by pressure through the pipe 10, where colloidal aluminium is removed. However, the colloidal aluminium is often changed into ionic aluminium and thereby leaks into separated water during the membrane separation, so that it is sent to the cation exchange apparatus 5 through the pipe 11 of the permeated water side to decationize it and to remove ionic aluminium. The concentrated water is sent through the pipe 8 from the circulating water pipe 12 to the pretreatment apparatus 2 where colloidal aluminium is removed by coagulating treatment, etc.
