摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the seal coat material capable of being coated on a cement- hardened substrate such as the mortar lining of a cast steel pipe to prevent the elusion of an alkaline substance, etc. SOLUTION: This penetrable waterproof composition comprises (A) a vinylic polymer containing 2-20wt.% of an acid monomer and (B) the mixture of an epoxy group-containing organoalkoxysilane and an organoalkoxysilane in a (A)/(B) ratio of 0.1-10. The organo alkoxysilane in the composition penetrates into a substrate to reinforce the substrate and form a water-repelling layer, and the vinylic polymer forms a resin layer for protecting the water-repelling layer. Since the acid groups especially react with the epoxy groups to improve the adhesive strength between both the layers, higher water resistance than those by conventional techniques is formed, and the function is maintained over a long period to solve problems.

The upper limit of the glass transition point of component A is desirably 110 deg.C. The number-average molecular weight of component A is desirably 10,000 or above. The amount of the hydrolyzable-silyl-containing vinyl monomer units contained in 100 pts.wt. component A is desirably 0.5-50 pts.wt. Component B is particularly desirably n-hexyltrimethoxysilane or γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane.

SOLUTION: In a zinc-treated iron pipe of which an inner surface and an outer surface, or only the outer surface is coated with zinc, zinc, alloy or zinc mixture by a plating or thermal spraying method in the pipe arrangement for water-works and sewage works buried in a ground, the iron pipe is further coated with a water paint composition including a water resin and prepared by emulsion polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer in the presence of colloidal silica to improve the corrosion-proof performance. The colloidal silica is the water dispersion member of particles including silicon dioxide as a basic component, the particles including the silicon dioxide as the basic component has 4-100 nm of particle size, and 0.01-10 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the resin solid matter, of the water resin is used.
