    • PURPOSE:To control a liquefied phenomenon in the event of an earthquake to stabilize the subsoil by providing an underground wall used as a retaining wall by connecting steel pipes penetrated into a hard subsoil continuously and, at the same time, holding the upper part of the underground wall and a building together as a unit. CONSTITUTION:Steel pipes 8 are driven up to a hard bed 4 in the subsoil 1 around a building 5 to be constructed by continuously connecting them, and an underground wall 7 used as a retaining wall is provided. A driven depth lto the bed 4 increases more than five times as long as a steel pipe diameter (d). After that, a circumferential wall 10 of a building 5 constructed on the foundation piles 6 and the upper parts of the steel pipes forming the underground wall 7 are held together as a unit through studs 11. Then, a construction subsoil of the building 5 is separated from an outside liquefaction dangerous layer 3 through the underground wall 7, and the shearing deformation in the inside subsoil of the underground wall 7 is prevented. According to the constitution, a liquefied phenomenon in the event of an earthquake can be efficiently controlled.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the horizontal resistance force of steel pipes by driving continuously the steel pipes into the subsoil around a construction, providing an underground wall using as a retaining wall and, at the same time, providing a plate-thickness increasing section with a required length to a position bringing into contact with the lower end of the construction. CONSTITUTION:Steel pipes 4 are continuously driven around a construction 1, and an underground wall 3 using as a retaining wall is provided. In the event of an earthquake, in the subsoil including a layer incurring the danger of liquefaction, the steel pipes 4 are driven up to a hard subsoil crossing the layer. After that, a plate-thickness increasing section 10 is provided to steel pipes 4 over the required length from a position bringing into contact with the lower end of the construction 1 placed on the foundation pile 2. In addition, the lower part of the construction 1 is joined with the upper part of the steel pipes 4 together as a unit through studs 7. According to the constitution, the underground wall having excellent earthquake resistance can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To control a liquefied phenomenon and to stabilize the subsoil by loading a soil cement layer to the outside of an underground wall consisting of steel pipes driven up to a hard bed in the subsoil around a building and, at the same time, filling the insides of the steel pipes with cement. CONSTITUTION:Steel pipes 8 are driven in succession up to a hard bed 4 in the subsoil 1 around a building 5 to be constructed, and an underground wall 7 used as a retaining wall is provided. After that, a soil cement layer 10 is loaded to the outside of the underground wall 7 and, at the same time, the inside of each steel pipe 18 is filled with soil cement 11. Then, a circumferential wall 14 of the building 5 constructed on the foundation piles 6 and the upper parts of the steel pipes 8 are held together as a unit through studs 14. The subsoil of the building 5 is separated from an outside liquefaction dangerous layer 3 through the underground wall 7, and the shearing deformation in the inside subsoil is prevented. According to the constitution, the constructed subsoil can be stabilized.
