摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the shrinkage of woof fiber within a practically allowable range and to obtain a shrinkproof wool fiber causing little environmental pollution problem when producing. SOLUTION: At least a part of the cystine bond of the surface exocuticle layer of wool fiber is removed and the surface endocuticle layer of the wool fiber is made to be hydrophobic by a hydrophobicizing agent or by the reaction with a hydrophobic substance. As an alternative, at least a part of the cystine bond of the surface exocuticle layer of a wool fiber is removed and the surface of the wool fiber is made to be hydrophobic by graft-polymerization. As the third embodiment of the invention, at least a part of the cystine bond of the surface exocuticle layer of a wool fiber is removed and the surface endocuticle layer of the wool fiber is made to react with a keratin protein.

The woven fabric is dyed, printed and further subjected to crimp preventing processing with a polyamidoepichlorohydrin resin to give a water-washable and readily handleable outer garment product of worsted yarn having high fastness.
