CONSTITUTION:The filler compsn. for synthetic resins is obtd. by mixing gelatin or glue swollen with a solvent (e.g., glycerol) with a plasticizer with stirring to homogeneously disperse them in each other to form jelly. When hydrated glue or gelatin is used as the swollen glue or gelatin, the ratio of the glue or gelatin to the plasticizer is pref. 1:1-1:5 by weight on a dry basis. Technical grade gelatin obtd. as a by-product of hide is preferred as the swollen glue or gelatin.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the title modifier which gives synthetic resins having excellent surface texture, gloss, water-absorbing properties, adhesion and resistance to oils and wear, by using glue or gelatin as main component together with additives. CONSTITUTION:Glue obtd. as a by-product in the leather industry or industrial gelatin is used as main component, and additives compatible therewith are added thereto according to the purpose of modification to obtain the title modifier. Examples of the additives are plasticizer, filler, reinforcing agent, flame retarder, lubricant, antioxidant, blowing agent, crosslinking agent, antistatic agent, drip-proofing agent, anti-togging agent, mildewproofing agent, antibacterial agent and metal-induced injury inhibitor. The modifier is blended with a synthetic resin (e.g. vinyl chloride resin chip for soling) compatible with the modifier.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a synthetic leather having feeling of natural leather and rich in endurance, by blending a resin for synthetic leather with a leather powder especially treated and finely pulverized and used as filler and further glue or gelatin used as a binder and forming the blend into sheet. CONSTITUTION:10-30wt.% of a leather powder obtained by subjecting leather powder obtained from shaving process of tanned leather to cleaning treatment and then low-temperature drying at temperature range causing no loss of fiber ingredient in the leather and finely pulverized to 50-150 mesh pass and used as a filler is blended with a resin (e. g., vinyl chloride resin) for synthetic leather and uniformly dispersed and the resultant dispersion is formed into sheet or additive obtained by diluting glue or gelatin and used as a binder is blended with the above-mentioned dispersion at an amount of 0.5-1% in terms of dried weight of glue or gelatin and uniformly dispersed to provide the unfoamed synthetic leather sheet or further foamed to provide the formed synthetic leather sheet. The synthetic leather has feeling and physical properties close to that of natural leather and excellent moisture permeability.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a composition comprising a water-soluble urethane resin and a specific gelatin homogeneously dispersed and mixed each other and imparting excellent water resistance, water absorbing and releasing properties and air permeability to a leather or substrate without damaging the natural touch thereof when coated thereon by compounding the water-soluble urethane resin with the gelatin. CONSTITUTION:A water-soluble urethane resin (solid content) is mixed with approximately the same amount (dry weight) of jelly-like gelatin, low mol.wt. gelatin aqueous solution or ultrafine gelatin powder. Alternatively, a solvent- soluble type urethane resin (solid content) is mixed with approximately the same amount (dry weight) of the ultrafine gelatin powder or a mixture of DMF and the low mol.wt. gelatin aqueous solution. The mixture is coated on a natural leather or substrate through an adhesive to form a sheet.
