    • PURPOSE:To manufacture a vibration damping metal sheet having a large bonding strength between a synthetic resin layer and a metal sheet, by a method wherein molten synthetic resin is extruded from a die so as to have the shape of a film while the extruded film is inserted between two sheets of metal sheet to ply and bond them by pressure through thermal pressure bonding rolls, thereafter, control cooling for them is effected. CONSTITUTION:Synthetic resin is a heat sensitive type synthetic resin having vibration-damping properties in the employing circumstance temperature of the vibration damping metal sheet from a normal temperature to a medium temperature and the synthetic resin, consisting of modified vinyl acetate resin with 2.3mol% of amount of modification from alkali to acid, for example, added with 15wt% of dibutyl phthalate as a plasticizer, is employed. The synthetic resin is molten under the temperature of 120 deg.C to extrude it from a die into the shape of a film by an extruder 4 while the film type resin is introduced between two sheets of metal sheets 1, 1' between hot pressure bonding rolls 3, 3 and the film is laminated with the metal sheets 1, 1'. The laminate passes through hot compression rolls 5, 5 heated to 180 deg.C and bonding is effected here. Further, the laminate is cooled to about 100 deg.C and bonding is effected here. Further, the laminate is cooled to about 100 deg.C while pressing it by a roll under a first cooling process 7, thereafter, is cooled to a normal temperature by a second cooling process 8. Thus, a vibration damping metal plate, bonded strongly under a stabilized condition without accompanying any strain, may be obtained.
