    • PURPOSE:To prevent leaks of polymeric material and make cleaning work easier by providing a bank bottom plate so as to be vertically moved between a back receiving position and a lower position and an operating means for vertically moving said plate. CONSTITUTION:A pair of upper and lower calender rolls 13, 14 are provided in the vicinity before an extruder 11 and a bank bottom plate 16 for supporting a bank 17 is provided at the lower position between the extruder 11 and the rolls 13, 14, in which the plate 16 is provided so as to be vertically moved between a bank receiving position A and a lower position B and an operating means 39 is provided to vertically move the plate 16. For effecting the molding operation, the bank 17 is supported by the plate 16 to prevent leaks of polymeric material such as rubber etc. For performing the cleaning work, the plate 16 is lowered by means of the means 39 to open the lower part between the extruder 11 and the rolls 13, 14. Consequently, the front side of the extruder 11 can be easily cleaned without forwardly moving the rolls 13, 14.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress both rise of a temperature and back flowing amount of a material upon generation of heat and to improve an extruding efficiency by composing screws each having a small diameter of a root and a large diameter of an end in an inverse taper, and substantially horizontally disposing the shafts of screws. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet material 14 is produced, a material 10 is supplied from a kneader of an upstream side to the opening 5 of a casing 1 through a chute 4. The material 10 is forcibly extruded to the side of calender rolls 12, 12 by a pair of screws 6, 7 rotating reversely. This is formed to a sheet while rolling it by the pair of rolls 12, 13. In this case, since the screws 6, 7 have reverse tapers, a compression ratio of a metering zone of a discharge side to a feeding zone of a root side can be reduced to about 12. Accordingly, the rise of a temperature due to heat generated from the material 10 can be reduced that much, and the back flowing amount of the material 10 is reduced to improve an extruding efficiency.

    • PURPOSE:To make it easier to clean the front side etc., of a main body of an extruder by providing a mounting base, which is vertically movable and can be fixed at the lower position, on said main body through a guide member, and mounting a movable member and a sensor on said base to greatly raise said movable member. CONSTITUTION:A mounting base 11, which is vertically movable and can be fixed at the lower position A, is provided on a main body 1 of an extruder through a guide member 14 and a movable member 9 and a sensor 23 are mounted on said base 11. For extruding a rubber sheet etc., the base 11 is fixed at the position A, and then the member 9 vertically moves corresponding to the change in the quantity of bank, whereupon the sensor 23 catches said movement as electric signals, so that feedback control is effected to keep the quantity of bank at a nearly constant value. To clean the front side etc., of the member 9 and the main body 1, the base 11 is released and raised to the upper limit along the member 14, whereby, since both the member 9 and sensor 23 are raised, a space required for cleaning is provided. As a result, the cleaning can be easily carried out without moving calender rolls 5, 6.

Non-contacting distance sensors 2, 3 for the material in the bank are provided on the upper part of a space, a quantity of the bank is detected precisely by the distance sensors 2, 3, through which the title machine is constituted so that the quantity of the material in the bank is controlled.

    • PURPOSE:To improve gripping and extruding capacity of a material in a feed part by a method wherein two screws which are flush with each other are arranged in parallel with each other, a hopper is arranged extending over feed parts of the screws each and a length of a compression part to the diameter of the screw is specified. CONSTITUTION:Two screws 2 which are flush with each other are arranged within a casing 1 in parallel with each other and turnably and a hopper 3 is arranged extending over feed parts 5 of the two screws each. Screw blade 7 is formed on the feed part 5 and a compression part 6 of the screw 2. A screw pitch of the blade 7 is an unequal pitch where its feed part 5 is long and compression part 6 is short and when size of the outside diameter and a length of the compression part 6 are D and L respectively, they are set up in a formula of L/D=0.3-0.6. The two screws 2 are in an engaged or nonengaged state and they are provided arrangeably by changing a phase by 0 deg. or 180 deg. (provided that this is of an angle formed by the screw blade 7 on the same section meeting at right angles with an axis) in accordance with contents of composition and characteristics of an extruded material.
