摘要： PURPOSE:To improve service life of a mold by forming the first plating layer containing Ni and P, the second plating layer composing Co alloy on this and further, a plating layer composing of Cr or Cr alloy on the inner face of the mold body formed with precipitation hardening type copper alloy. CONSTITUTION:The mold body is formed with the precipitation hardening type copper alloy. On the inner face of this mold body, the first plating layer composing of the alloy containing Ni and P, the second plating layer containing >=5% Co formed with >=0.3mum thickness and further, the third plating layer formed with Cr or Cr alloy are constituted. Further, heat-treatment is executed at 200-500 deg.C to form the diffusion layer between plating layers respectively. By these constitutions, the service life can be lengthened.

CONSTITUTION:The mold body is formed with the precipitation hardening type copper alloy. On the inner face of this mold body, the first plating layer composing of alloy containing Ni and P, the second plating layer formed with iron or iron alloy having >=0.3mum thickness on this layer and further, the third plating layer formed with Cr or Cr alloy are formed. After forming the plating layer, by heat-treating at 200-500 deg.C, the diffusion layers are formed between each plating layers. By these constitution, the service life can be extended.

CONSTITUTION:On the inner face of mold constituting by copper or copper alloy, the alloy plating layer composing of nickel and phosphorus is arranged, and on this layer, the cobalt plating layer having >=0.3mum thickness is arranged and further on the layer, the chromium plating layer is arranged. As the second layer of plating layer of cobalt, which is the metal forming the solid solution with both metals of nickel and chromium, is included between the nickel and phosphorus alloy plating layer as the first layer and chromium plating layer as the third layer, the adhesion each between the layers is remarkably improved. A reason, which the chromium plating layer is arranged on the most outer surface, is that its melting point, such as 1,890 deg.C, is higher than the melting point of alloy plating of nickel and phosphorus, such as 890 deg.C, and molten steel is difficult to stick to it.
