    • PURPOSE:To provide a uniform blowing of slurry fuel into a furnace from a plurality of tuyeres by a method wherein a pressure loss in the slurry fuel return pipe is adjusted for its dispersion covering an entire length of the pipe in a mass feeding and a partial return system. CONSTITUTION:Feeding volume of slurry fuel from the pump 5 is made to be higher than a blowing volume from the tuyeres of the shaft furnace 8, the remaining volume other than a blowing consumption volume is returned back to the tank 2 through the flow rate adjuster valve 11b, a return pipe 15. In this case,a degree of opening of the flow rate adjustment valve 11b is kept at a predetermined initial value, and a pressure loss is adjusted for its dispersion so as to apply a desired return pressure over an entire length of the return pipe 15 after the valve 11b. As its dispersion adjustment method, a branch pipe and the valves 16, 16' are arranged in the return pipe 15, 1) either one of the valves 16, 16 is opened to vary a length of the pipe, 2) similarly a pipe having a different diameter is selected, and 3) similarly a pipe having a different height is selected, etc. Accordingly, a pressure loss over an entire length of the return pipe 15 becomes substantially the same as a sum of the pressure loss in the entire length of the pipe ranging from the annular pipe 6 to the shaft furnace 8 and the furnace pressure, resulting in that a volume of blowing at the tuyeres is made to be uniform.

    • PURPOSE: To improve the properties of sintered ore of iron ore at high temp. in a blast furnace by adding a specified amount of Mn to the sintered ore in the form of oxide.
      CONSTITUTION: Sintered ore of iron as starting material for a blast furnace is mixed with ore such as iron-manganese ore or slag contg. Mn such as ferromanganese slag so that manganese oxide is contained in the sintered ore by 0.9W4.0wt% as Mn. When the resulting sitered ore is reduced at a high temp. in the blast furnace, molten slag oozes from the ore and covers the ore surface, so the retardation of the reduction can be prevented, and the productivity of the furnace is not lowered. In addition, the pressure of air blown into the furnace is not raised, the consumption of coke is not increased, and the conditions of the furnace are not made unstable.

    • PURPOSE: To provide the titled pellet excellent in high temp. softening property and capable of lowering a cost of a fuel such as coke or the like when it is used in an iron stock material in a shaft furnace or the like as well as keeping a furnace condition stable comprising containing Mn oxide in a predetermined ratio.
      CONSTITUTION: An iron ore sintered pellet contains 0.8W4.0wt% of Mn oxide as an Mn amount. In said sintered pellet, an m.p. of the Mn oxide therein is low, that is, 1,570°C and, because there is no shell formation found in a conventional magnesia containing pellet, slag formation in pellet sintering is promoted smoothly. Therefore, there is no anxiety such that pellet strength is lowered by a residue of a nonslagged substance. Further, as an Mn oxide source used in preparing said pellet, ferruginous manganese ore, ferrorhodochrosite or the like can be shown.
