    • PURPOSE:To prevent the deep intrusion of inclusion involved into molten steel stream and bubbles of argon, etc., into the inner part of a slab by executing electromagnetic stirring to the molten steel in such an arrangement that each magnetic pole of coils of an electromagnetic stirring device is reverse polarity to each other for the coils facing across a casting mold, while the pole is the same polarity to each other for the coils placed side by side. CONSTITUTION:In the coils (a), a'-(d), d' in the electromagnetic stirring device, two- phase power units composed of transformers 3a-3d and cyclo-converters 4a-4b of two phases (u-phase, v-phase) are wired in each of the coils (a), a', coils (b), b', coils (c), c' and coils (d), d', and on the other hand, in the cyclo-converters 4a, 4b, one set of a frequency setting device 5 is wired. Then, the winding structure of the coils (a), a'-(d), d' is that iron cores constituting four poles is used and u-phase wire winding is executed so that the poles at the upper most step and the pole at the third step become the reverse polarity in the coils (a), a'-(b), b' and the pole at the upper most step and at the third step in the inside coils (a) and (b) or the outside coils a' and b' become the same polarity and also the pole at the upper most step and at the third step across which the inside coils (a), (b) and the outside coils a', b' opposite to each other become the reverse polarity.

    • PURPOSE:To precisely diagnose the normal/defective condition of spraying cooling water for cooling hot rolled steel by housing a pressure sensor in a housing box, receiving cooling water sprayed from a water cooling nozzle by a pressure receiving plate installed outside the housing box and also making the pressure receiving surface of the pressure receiving plate wider than the upper surface of the pressure sensor. CONSTITUTION:A carrier plate 1 to be passed through a water cooling zone of cooling water sprayed from plural water cooling nozzles is conveyed by a conveying roller for conveying a hot rolled plate material. In a housing box 2a which is mounted on the carrier plate 1 and vertically movably supports a vertical bar 2h for transmitting acting force is housed a sensor 2b for outputting an electric output signal corresponding to the pressurizing force based on the lowering of an elastic body 2f for pushing up the transmitting bar 2h and the transmitting bar 2h. And a pressure receiving plate 2g having a pressure receiving surface wider than the upper surface of the sensor 2b for receiving cooling water sprayed from the water cooling nozzles is fixed to the upper end of the transmitting bar 2h. And an output signal from the sensor 2b is inputted to a signal treatment device, where the output signal is treated.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the control of each cooling zone by giving the position of a dummy bar from the existing driving system control device in continuous casting equipment to a cooling medium injection control device as a casting counter signal and controlling the cooling medium injection pressure through the cooling medium injection control device. CONSTITUTION:By using a pressure measuring device 2 shifting between the cast slab guiding rolls 5 together with the dummy bar 1 and measuring the cooling medium injection pressures from secondary cooling nozzles, the cooling medium injection control device and a display device 2, an automatic checking for the secondary cooling nozzles is executed. The position of the dummy bar 1 incorporating the pressure measuring device 2 providing a micro pressure detecting sensor, pressure signal treating device and storing device is given to the cooling medium injection control device as the casting counter signal from the existing driving system control device in the continuous casting equipment. The cooling medium injection control device controls the cooling medium injection pressure from the secondary cooling nozzle in the cooling zone corresponding to the position of the pressure measuring device 2 based on the given casting counter signal.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce energy cost in heating and rolling section by adjusting billet ejecting temp. so that the sum of used power cost for rolling mill and fuel cost for heating furnace comes to the min. CONSTITUTION:The heating furnace DDC2 receives the lower limit value t1 and the upper limit value t2 in tolerance of the ejecting temp. from a process computer 1 and an ejecting temp. setting changing means 2b sets the setting value (t) of the ejecting temp. for the heating furnace 3 to t1. By command of a main machinery DDC4, the rolling mill line 5 executes rolling of a little quantity of the billets, to measure loaded power of a motor for rolling, and the power cost is calculated with a power cost calculating means 4a. This calculated cost value is transmitted to the heating furnace DDC2, and heating roll energy cost calculating means 2a adds data of the used fuel cost for the heating furnace from the computer 1 to calculate the heating roll energy cost. Successively, the ejecting temp. setting changing means 2b changes the ejecting temp. setting value (t) to t1+ t and in case (t) exceeds t2, the ejecting temp. setting value tm at the rolling time having the lowest heating roll energy cost in every rolling times, which have ever been executed, is set and after that, the rolling is executed.

    • PURPOSE:To easily calibrate the installing location of a one-dimensional line sensor at the job site so as to accurately measure the surface temperature and surface temperature distribution in the width direction of a high-temperature moving material, such as a cast piece being drawn by continuous casting or a steel sheet, steel plate, etc., being rolled in a hot rolling process. CONSTITUTION:The title instrument is provided with a position adjusting mechanism which can perform fine adjustment on the direction of the temperature measuring surface of a one-dimensional line sensor 13 against the opening 14a of a purge feed 14 on a cast piece side from a remote area and kanthal wire 16 which can emit light at a temperature equal to or higher than a prescribed temperature over the full width of a visual field to be measured and is interposed between the opening 14a in the purge feed 14 and temperature measuring surface of the camera 13. At the time of calibration, the camera 13 is made to continue temperature measurement while the wire 16 is made to emit light and the position of the camera 13 is modified to such a position that the mechanism 15 can obtain temperature-measured results over the full width of the visual field to be measured.
