    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the winding of a strip around a cooling roll by pushing a belt for conveyor against the surface of the cooling roll and executing the detachment and the conveying of the metallic strip. SOLUTION: The strip 4 is detached from the cooling roll 1 by the air- blowing of an air-nozzle 5 providing a slitting opening hole for blowing gas e.g. compressed air to almost the tangential direction to the roll 1. Then, it is prevented that the detached point P shifts to the upstream side even in the case of strengthening the air blowing of the air-nozzle 5 by pushing the belt 6a of a vacuum suction type conveyor 6 to the position (detaching position P) desirable to detach the strip from the cooling roll 1 so as to contact with the belt 6a. Successively, the strip 4 is sucked to near the starting point of the belt 6a of the vacuum suction type conveyor 6 at the same time of detaching and further, the strip 4 is shifted together with the belt 6a under sucking condition and conveyed to a winding reel arranged at the end part of the conveyor 6 to wind the strip 4 as coil-state.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a wide width strip having uniform strip thickness in the width direction by using a nozzle giving the longitudinal direction distribution according to a specific equation. SOLUTION: The wide width metallic strip is produced by injecting molten metal on the surface of a cooling roll during rotating at high speed from the slitting opening hole nozzle extended as slender-state in the axial direction of the roll and rapidly solidifying. Then, the nozzle giving the longitudinal direction distribution according to the equation I related to the gap crossing at the right angle with the longitudinal direction of the slitting opening hole, is used. In the equation I, a (x) is the gap in the distance (x) from the center part of the longitudinal direction of the slitting opening hole (mm), ao is the gap at the center part of the longitudinal direction, tce is the strip thickness at the center part of the metallic strip produced with the nozzle having the gap ao (μm), ted is the strip thickness of the edge parts of the metallic strip (mm), L is the width of the metallic strip (mm), (n) is the constant showing the influential degree of the gap to the strip thickness and strip thickness ∝(slit gap) . By this method, the opening hole shape of the nozzle can be optimized.

    • PURPOSE: To surely coil a strip to a reel even in the case of the extremely thin strip by pushing the strip during running at high speed after detaching from cooling rolls rotated at high speed to a reel providing a sucking or sticking means on this barrel surface and at just after this, cutting off with a shearing edge at the downstream side from the contacting point with the reel. CONSTITUTION: After holding molten metal substantially having component composition of an iron at 1300 deg.C, this molten metal is injected onto the copper alloy-made cooling roll rotated at the high speed from a nozzle having 50-250mm width of a slit-state opening hole and made to be the strip 1 having 25μm thickness. This strip 1 is detached from the cooling roll and carried to near the reel 2 with a carrying device and pushed to the reel 2 rotated at the peripheral speed synchronized with the speed of the strip 1 and coating an adhesive material 3 on this barrel surface with a pushing roll 4 rotated the peripheral speed synchronized with the speed of the strip 1 to press-fix the strip 1 to the reel 2, and the coiling is started. Then, a shifting device 6 is lifted to shear the strip 1 with the shearing edge 5.
