摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a method capable of converting hardly water-soluble metal salts which are heretofore discarded into a reusable metal hydroxide and acid. CONSTITUTION:(A) A soln. dissolved with the hardly water-soluble metal salts is prepd. (B) This soln. and an aq. alkaline soln. are brought into contact to precipitate the hydroxide of the metal of the metal salts. (C) A soln. mixture contg. the precipitated metal hydroxide is subjected to an operation to separate solid from liquid. (D) The metal hydroxide separated by the sepn. operation is recovered. (E) The mothor liquor separated by the sepn. operation is subjected to an electrodialysis using an ion exchange membrane to form an aq. acid soln. and an aq. alkaline soln. (F) these aq. solns. are recovered.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion exchange membrane which is low in membrane resistance as a diaphragm, excellent in permeability of proton, low in permeability of vanadium ion and excellent in oxidation resistance by making cross- linking polymer having pyridinium group into a diaphragm for vanadium system redox flow cell. SOLUTION: Charging/discharging is performed by utilizing oxidation reduction reaction of V /V within a negative electrode liquid isolated via an ion exchange membrane and V /V within a positive electrode liquid. In this vanadium-based redox flow cell, a diaphragm for cell made of cross-linking polymer having pyridinium group is used as the ion exchange membrane. As the cross-linking polymer having this pyridinium group, ion exchange capacity 0.2 to 10mmol/g-dry membrane an overall dialysis coefficient ratio UH/UMg 50 or more of proton and magnesium ion are preferable. The cross-linking polymer is obtained by converting pyridyl group into the pyridinium group after pyridyl group vinyl polymerization monomer 100 pts.wt. cross-linking agent 1 to 100 pts.wt. monofunctional vinyl polymerization monomer or styrene system monomer 0 to 100 pts.wt. are copolymerized.

CONSTITUTION:Anion exchange membrane A, cation exchange membranes C and a bipolar membrane B are successively arranged between both a cathode and an anode. A soy sauce, an alkaline solution and an acidic solution are allowed to pass through respectively between the anion exchange membranes A and the cation exchange membranes C, between the cation exchange membrane C and the bipolar membrane B, and between the anion exchange membrane A and the bipolar membrane B, and a direct current voltage is simultaneously applied between both the cathode 3 and the anode 2 to reduce the content of salt in the soy sauce.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-purity organic acid such as lactic acid by carrying out the electrodialytic treatment with ion exchange membranes, the treatment with a chelate resin and the water electrolytic electrodialysis of a solution which is, prepared by fermentation with a microorganism and containing an organic acid using ion exchange membranes and prolonging the life of the ion exchange membranes. SOLUTION: An insoluble solid matter is removed from a crude organic acid salt solution containing an organic acid salt (e.g. ammonium lactate) obtained by a fermentation method with a microorganism [e.g. Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis 332 (FERM P-15764)] and the resultant solution is then fed to desalting compartments of an electrodialyzer and electrodialyzed. A purified organic acid salt solution is recovered from concentrating compartments and the aqueous solution is then brought into contact with a chelate resin and subsequently fed to a water electrolytic electrodialyzer using bipolar membranes to carry out the electrodialysis. The organic acid is obtained from acid compartments and an alkali is obtained from base compartments to afford the objective high-purity organic acid.

摘要： PURPOSE: To make it easy to adjust the concentrations of nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid for the recycling of both acids by recovering nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid separately from a waste liquid containing a mixed acid such as nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid, using an electrodialysis device. CONSTITUTION: A mixed liquid with an acid such as a waste liquid of hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid is supplied to a first electrodialysis device 1, then one of the acids contained in the mixed acid is allowed to pass through the deoxidation chamber 2 of the first electrodialysis device. On the other hand, the other acid is transferred to the concentration chamber 3 side of the first electrodialysis device. Next, the acid passing through the deoxidation chamber of the first electrodialysis device is neutralized using alkali, and metals are separated by sedimentation. After that, the filtrate is supplied to a second electrodialysis device 6 consisting of a bipolar membrane, a cationic exchange membrane and an anionic exchange membrane, so that the acid is recovered by separation. The desalted water after its passage through the second electrodialysis device is supplied to the concentration chamber side of the first electrodialysis device, or the other acid is recovered by separation from the concentration chamber of the first electrodialysis device by supplying water to the concentration chamber side.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover an acid of a high concentration and a hydroxide of metal from an acid waste liquid containing a metal salt by combining a diffusion dialysis process, mechanical separation process, and electrodialysis process in which a specific bipolar membrane and anion, cation-exchange membranes are used. SOLUTION: An acid waste liquid 9 containing a mineral acid and a metal salt thereof is supplied to a dialysis chamber 1 of a diffusion dialysis device I, while a dilute acid is supplied to a diffusion chamber 2 to efficiently recover the acid from the acid waste liquid. A deacidified liquid 10 obtained by this process in the chamber 1 is fed to a neutralization settling separation device II, where the liquid neutralized with an alkaline liquid 12 and the metal salt in the liquid is settled as a hydroxide, which is taken out as sludge or slurry 13. On the other hand, a neutralized, filtered liquid 14 is passed through a chelate resin column 15, as required, depending on the content of salt having low solubility and fed to an ion-exchange membrane eletrodialysis device III to selectively dialyze ions of the liquid 14 through cation- exchange membranes and anion-exchange membranes so that acid of high concentration and alkali of high concentration are obtained respectively in an acid generating chamber 7 and base chamber 8 through a bipolar membrane having a fixed ion concentration of a cation-exchange resin part equal to or larger than 10N.
