摘要： PURPOSE:To minimize reduction in the ability of correcting a meandering motion at the time of modifying sheet width by providing side plates freely movable in a sheet transverse direction in the side parts of a traveling strip-like material on a floating device and allowing the side plates to follow the modification of the sheet-width of the strip-like material. CONSTITUTION:Side plates 5 moving in a sheet transverse direction in the side parts of the moving line of a strip 3 are provided on a bend floating device 4 in which the strip 3 is floated and supported in a non-contact state by blowing fluid through nozzles 2 provided to the surface of a chamber 1. Each side plate 5 is constituted of a vertical side plate part 5a and a cover 5b extending from the lower end of the side plate part 5a and covering the surface of the chamber 1. When a modification occurs to the width of the strip 3 traveling by such a constitution, respective intervals between the side plates 3 and the strip 3 are properly regulated according to the modification. By this method, the meandering motion of the strip 3 can be corrected and stable conveyance can be carried out, and contact troubles, such as scuffing of edge, at the time of modifying width in particular can be prevented.

In this case, the side plates 5 are provided to surround the steel 3, and the steel 3 is levitated and conveyed regardless of the width of the steel 3 by changing the distance between the plates. The side plate 5 has a side plate part 5a and a nozzle cover part 5b, and a bracket 5c is extended from the upper end of the side plate part 5a to prevent the abnormal levitation of the steel 3.

摘要： PURPOSE:To permit effective sealing of an in-furnace atmosphere and outdoor air, by adopting a gas curtain formed by combustion burners for generating a sealing gas in the throat part of the steel strip inlet and outlet of a nonoxidation furnace. CONSTITUTION:A pair of sealing rolls 8, 9 which pinch the steel strip 3 are freely rotatably provided in the steel strip 3 inlet part of the furnace body 1. Sealing members 11, 12 having pressurizing mechanisms such as counter weights 13 and maintaining the airtightness in the furnace are provided in the adjacent positions behind said rolls. The combustion burners 16a, 16b for generating the sealing gas to be injected toward the steel strip 3 are disposed in the throat part 10 behind said members. The burners 16a, 16b, join a combustion air introducing port 14 and a fuel introducing port 15 in a throat part 17 and inject the weakly oxidative combustion gas toward both faces of the strip 3. The averse influence on the strip 3 which arises at the time of recycling the gas for cooling the sealing rolls and the in-furnace atmosphere gas is averted by the above-mentioned method.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve heat efficiency and productivity of annealing equipment, by raising the temp. of exhaust gas of heating zone with combustion exhaust gas, etc., then utilizing it for preheating steel strip in its continuous annealing equipment. CONSTITUTION:Steel strip is preheated, then heated and annealed in reducing atmosphere by a radiant tube 1 at continuous annealing of steel strip. Since temp. of exhaust gas exhausted from the tube 1 is low as 300-500 deg.C, it is introduced to a combustion furnace 10 through a duct 9. A fuel 11 and an air 12 preheated at a preheater 19 are burnt by a burner 13 at the furnace 10 and sent as 700-1,100 deg.C high temp. combustion gas to a heat exchanger 14 together with exhaust gas from a duct 9 to heat and supply heating medium to hollow rolls 17-1-17-n for preheating steel strip to the vicinity of annealing temp. at heating zone, and exhaust gas from the exchanger 14 is utilized for preheating combustion air for the furnace 10. heat efficiency including to heating zone after preheating is markedly improved and productivity of continuous annealing is improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the titled furnace which supports a metallic strip in a catenary state by the ejected gas without contact and which stabilizes the support and reduces the energy to be consumed during annealing by using the static pressure induced by the baffle plates disposed atop wind boxes to assist the support. CONSTITUTION:The metallic strip S is run horizontally and is passed through a heating zone 5 and a cooling zone 6 of a continuous annealing furnace 1. The gas is ejected from the many wind boxes 17 which have nozzle apertures 29 in the direction intersecting with the traveling route and disposed at the prescribed intervals along the traveling route below said route to support the traveling strip S in the catenary state without contact. The baffle plates 21 projecting along the traveling route are disposed atop the boxes 17. Then the runoff of the gushing flow toward the bottom surface of the strip S to the side edges is limited and the static pressure by the gas is generated between the strip S and the top surfaces of the boxes 17. The strip S is stably supported by such pressure coupled with the gushing flow without contact. The reduction of the energy consumption is made possible with the furnace disposed with the heating and cooling devices above and below the strip S.

Gaseous NH is supplied from ducts 5 to the strip 1 in this state and is ejected through slits 9 to float the strip 1, by which the position of the strip 1 in the transverse direction is controlled.

The cooling devices 14b, 14c are provided to a second and third zones 6b, 6c. The number of a zone utilized for the holding zone is decided by plate passing velocity and the holding time. Thereby the defective proportion of a plated steel plate is reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To perform stable complete combustion, by a method wherein, in a title burner for burning liquid fuel, a primary air swirler vane is formed on the outer periphery of a flame dispersion type nozzle, and the nozzle is connected to a foam producer, from which pressurized gas, liquid fuel, and water can be supplied, through a conveyance pipe. CONSTITUTION:Gas, e.g. air, steam, inactive gas, combustion exhaust gas, liquid fuel, and water, all being pressurized to the same pressure, are fed through feed ports 4-6 to a foam producer 7. The foam producer 7 produces emulsion foams, which are fed to a flame dispersion type nozzle 3 and are injected in a combustion cylinder 2. This injection forces pressurized gas in the foam to be rapidly expanded in a combustion chamber for rupture to produce fine emulsion particles. Meanwhile, a primary air C1 coming through an inflow port 9 is swirled by means of a primary air swirler vane 10 and fed to the combustion cylinder 2, where the primary air is agitated together with emulsion particles for primary combustion. This constitution provides combustion approximately similar to fuel, and provides stable complete combustion.

CONSTITUTION:This steel strip supporting roll 1 for conveying the strip is provided in a continuous annealing furnace 2. the part 12 of such roll 1 where the temp. is higher than in the part 11 to contact the strip 1 and where the roll does not contact the strip 1 is shielded by the radiation shielding plate 35 provided in the furnace. The late 35 is freely glidably supported to a post 37 inserted into a groove 37a thereof and is so constituted that the shielding range can be freely adjusted by an operating rod 36 according to the width of the strip 3. The influence of the thermal deformation of the roll 1 is thereby decreased and the deformation of the strip 3, the meandering thereof during conveyance, etc., are thus prevented.
