    • PURPOSE:To reduce the rising time of exciting current, and to make a separator compact and light, in the separator which excites by detecting an inclusion of magnetic pieces, by exciting with small electric power in ordinary running and exciting with large power when said piece is detected. CONSTITUTION:An exciting coil of a magnetic separator 12 is ordinarily excited by a small electric power kept within a range where a temperature rise of said coil is kept from exceeding an allowable temperature i.e. a preparation voltage VS, and an exciting current IS is supplied. When a magnetic piece mixed in raw materials on a moving conveyor 10 passes through a detecting means 24, a detecting signal S1 is transmitted to a controlling device to convert the voltage VS into an exciting voltage VF enough to attract the magnetic piece. Then the exciting current increases from the value IS in an ordinary state toward the IF corresponding to the voltage VF at the time of attracting state, and corresponding to said change, the value of magnetic field also increases from HS to HF. Thus the rises are curved as shown by real lines in the figure because of the delays caused by said increases. Accordingly, the attraction takes place after a short time t1 from the time the signal S1 is outputted, when the lower limit of magnetic field necessary for attracting the magnetic piece is put HL, and the current value necessary for exciting of HL is put IL.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate assembly by engaging a base member to the end portion of a magnet so that a projecting portion may be extended within the parallel surface of the inner cavity opening side end surface of a magnetic block, and fitting a plate to the magnetic block inner cavity opening side end surface with its hole made to be coaxial with the inner cavity. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet 32 is rotatably arranged within the inner cavity 30 of a magnetic block 22 with its recessed portion 34 arranged with an elastic body 92, and the projecting portion 60 of a base member 54 is put into the recessed potion 34 of the permanent magnet 32, and a plate 36 is fitted to the end surface of the magnetic block 22 by means of screws 38 so that the main body portion 56 and the projecting portion 58 of the base member 54 may be received at the hole 40 and the recessed portion 42 of the plate 36. The base member 54 is rotatable within a range where a projecting portion 62 is engaged with a projecting portion within the recessed portion 42 of the plate 36, and the permanent magnet 32 and the base member 54 never come off the magnetic circuit block 22 as the projecting portion 58 of the base member 54 butts the plate 36. At the time of assembly, a bonding agent is put into the recessed portion 64 of the base member 54, and the projecting portions 82, 84 of a knob member 75 are put into the hole and the recessed portion 64 of the base member 54, and the knob member 76 and the base member 54 are united.

    • PURPOSE:To provide possibility of attracting magnetic substance with low permeability by giving the magnetic motive force of a main pole magnet a greater value than the magnetic motive force of a sub-pole magnet, wherein said main pole and sub-pole magnets are to produce magnetic fields at main poles and sub-poles, respectively. CONSTITUTION:Two main poles 22 are provided together with a main pole magnet 26 for production of magnetic field around them, and two sub-poles 28 together with a sub-pole magnet 32 for production of fields around them. Here the magnetic motive force of the main pole magnet 26 is given a greater value than that of the sub-pole magnet 32. Further are provided a switching magnet 34 (for main) and another 60 (for sub), which are to put the main poles 22 and sub-poles 28 in magnetized and demagnetized condition. Here, a material with low permeability such as extra-hard alloy is attracted to the main poles 22, and in supporting it, a backing plate consisting of substance with high permeability is attracted to the sub-poles 28, which ensures that a material with low permeability is attracted safely.

    • PURPOSE:To separate and collect the processing oil from a processing waste by inclining the oversurface slope of a saw-teeth guide path with respect to level, and by transporting magnetic powder etc. inc. processing oil through reciprocative action of a magnet assembly. CONSTITUTION:Processing waste such as magnetic powder with the processing oil attached is cast in a hopper 30 and transported from one of the steps 38 of a transport guide means 14 to at least the next during advance through reciprocative action of a magnet 52 of a magnet assembly 16, and is detained with steps 38 during retraction to stagnate there. Repetition of this reciprocation will transfer the objects from a horizontal transport path 40 to an inclined 42 one after another via a bent transport path 44. As the inclined portion 36 of saw-teeth transport guide means 14 which is leading to step 38 is inclined with respect to level, the processing oil attached to the objects transported will flow into a recess 48 via the portion 36, therefrom flowing down to No.1 transport guide part 40 to be collected.

    • PURPOSE:To provide transportation of magnetic parts in two directions at different angles to level by making that portion of a magnet assembly reciprocating, which is stretching alongside a bent transport guide path, from a movable element capable of elastic deformation, and by arranging a plurality of magnets at a certain spacing in the longitudinal direction of said movable element. CONSTITUTION:In this magnet assembly, a movable element 50 is installed reciprocatively within a space bordered by a frame 12 and a guide means 14, wherein a coupling 58 capable of elastic deformation consisting of a lief spring extends along a rail 68 of a bent transport guide path and a movable part 56 is supported on rails 60, 62 through a bearing 66. Through reciprocative motion of said movable element 50, the magnetically acting range of a magnet 52 consisting of a plurality of permanent magnets 72 and yokes 70 allows the magnetic objects transported to pass at least one of the steps 38 of the guide path 14 at the time of advance, and they are detained with step at the time of retraction. Thus the transport direction is changed from level to aslant upwards through this reciprocation to accomplish transportation one after another.

    • PURPOSE:To provide sure transportation of thin and long magnetic parts by arranging a magnet assembly, which is capable of reciprocating along a saw- teeth shaped guide path, in such a way that the surfaces of assembly bearing different polarities are situated apart in the width direction of the guide path, and thereby detaining each magnetic object with the teeth surely. CONSTITUTION:A moving part 56 of a magnet assembly is supported by rails 62, 68 and a bearing 66 in such a way as capable of reciprocating and includes a plurality of permanent magnets 72 arranged at a certain spacing in longitudinal direction and yokes 70 stretching in the width direction on a coupling 58 moving during reciprocation while deformed elastically. When the moving part 56 makes reciprocation, the magnetically acting range of a magnet 52 consisting of a plurality of permanent magnets 72 and yokes 70 will pass at least one of the steps 38 of a transport guide path to transport magnetic objects to the next step, and during retraction, the object is detained with step 38. Thus transportation is conducted through this reciprocation one after another. At this time, a thin and long object is oriented in the width direction of guide path to assure easy detention with the step 38, whereby sure transportation is accomplished.
