    • PURPOSE:To improve the uniformity of the quality of sintered ore, the air permeability of a charging layer and the yield of a lump by sieving compounded raw materials with an elastic net of a calssifier to which period tense and loose states are imparted, and segregating and charging the raw materials onto a pallet. CONSTITUTION:The compounded raw materials 7 in an ore feed hopper 7 are fed at a specified rate and are charged onto the rubber net 15 of the classifier 14 extended to movable frames 16, 17 attached to a rotary plate 20 at the phases deviated by 180 deg. via connecting bars 19. The two bars 19 move back and forth in the phases reverse from each other when the plate 20 is rotated by a motor 24. The net 15 is then tensed in the sections I, III and is loosened in the sections II, IV. These states are reversed in the next period and such operations are alternately repeated. The raw materials 7 receiver the grain size segregation and grain size classification and in this state the raw materials in the upper part of the net are transferred downward and in the direction opposite from the transfer direction of the ballet 4 so as to be supplied first on the pallet 4. The raw materials in the lower part of the net are thus laminated thereon. The coarse grains are thus loaded in the lower layer on the pallet 4 and the fine grains are loaded in the upper layer part. The powder coke fed from another hopper 11 is further uniformly loaded on the surface of the raw materials on the above- mentioned pallet.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a foundation pile to easily pierce through a layer having a large N value by applying an elevating action, temporarily to an open end pile body in accordance with a strength of an earth layer at the forward end of the pile, which can be obtained from a drive-in torque and a drive-in rotational speed, during the open end pile is pressed in. CONSTITUTION:In a construction method in which an open end pile which is provided, on the inner and outer surface thereof, with thread-like projections is rotated and pressed in, a strength of an earth layer at the forward end of the pile is obtained from a drive-in torque and a drive-in rotational speed. Further, if a layer having a large N value is presented among intermediate layers within a predetermined drive-in section, an elevating action is temporarily applied to the pile body in accordance with these obtained strength of the earth layer at the forward end of the pile, with a stroke in a range by which soil therearound is not disturbed. With this arrangement, the pile fan easily pierce through an intermediate layer even having an N value higher than 50, and it is possible to attain the press-in of the pile up to a predetermined drive-in depth while avoiding blocking the open end of the pile.

    • PURPOSE:To perform welding in an ideal state by heating or melting the surface to face the welding surface of a rib ahead of main welding and deforming and energizing it in the direction where a gap between the rib and a steel pipe is reduced to perform welding the rib to the steel pipe. CONSTITUTION:Ahead of main welding of the spiral rib 2 to the steel pipe 1, the surface to face the welding surface 3 of the rib 2 is heated or molten by a gas flame, etc. Hereby, since the surface 4 side is extended, the rib 2 is stuck fast to the steel pipe. In the case of the inside rib, the above-mentioned preliminary deforming process is especially effective. When main welding is then performed, a satisfactory bead is formed. It is not necessary to form the rib 2 to dimensions to fit closely to the steel plate 1 and it is formed to dimensions to fit idly, namely, in the case of the inside rib, its outside diameter is formed slightly smaller than the steel pipe inside diameter and in the case of the outside rib, its inside diameter is formed slightly larger than the steel plate outside diameter. By this method, a trouble where the gap between the rib and the steel pipe becomes larger is solved and welding can be performed in the ideal state.
