    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the breathability at the lower layer part of a sintering raw material layer by arranging plural pieces of vertical plates parallel with one another in the width direction of a pallet at a piled raw material sloping surface formed at the time of charging the sintering raw material on the pallet in a sintering machine and forming ventilation grooves with the vertical plates. SOLUTION: The sintering raw material 5 is continuously supplied onto the pallet 4 in a raw material charging part from a sloping chute 3 to form the sintering raw material layer 5. Plural pieces of vertical plates 6 are pushed downward to the piled raw material sloping surface forming the sintering raw material layer 5 to form the comparatively strong ventilation grooves 12. At the same time, the sintering raw material 5 blast flowing on the piled sloping surface is blown with hot blast from a hot blasting hood 9. The hot blast is absorbed into a wind box 11 through the sintering raw material layer 5. Since the breathing resistance on the raw material piled sloping part is reduced with the action of the vertical plates 6, large quantity of the hot blast can be blown and the wide range can be preheated and dried in a short time.

    • PURPOSE:To execute the strength control in a sintered ore by estimating the strength of the sintered ore from the contents and porosities of calcium ferrite and slag in the sintered ore. CONSTITUTION:In order to estimate a shutter strength SI or a product yield YI of the sintered ore, the basic strength sigmab of the sintered ore is obtd. with the equation I from the calcium ferrite content m and slag content Q in the sintered ore constituting material. Successively, a contributing factor (c) of the porosity to the strength is obtd. with the equation II from a pore diameter distribution factor beta. By using the equation III from these values and the porosity P, a tensile strength sigmas of the sintered ore is calculated and further, a shutter strength index SI with the equation IV or a yield factor YI with the equation V is calculated. Therein, the pore diameter distribution factor beta is the gradient of a regression line at the time of logarithmically plotting the pore diameter D obtd. from the sintered ore and frequency ratio R having the poring diameter D or larger and S, T, h1, h2, K, K'' and (n) are the constants. As the estimated value and the actual measured value of the shutter strength index SI show good correspondence, the strength control can be executed from this estimation.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the kneading performance and kneading treatment capacity of a kneading machine by specifying the ratio of the cylindrical inside diameter of an exciting and kneading machine to the diameter of a compacting medium, the filling rate of the compacting medium and the speed of rotations in an exciting motor. CONSTITUTION:The ratio of the cylindrical inside diameter of an exciting and kneading machine to the diameter of a compacting medium is regulated to >=15, and the filling rate of the compacting medium in the exciting and kneading machining is regulated to 13 to 50%. Then, a pulverized sintering raw material is fed to the above exciting and kneading machine and is kneaded. At this time, for executing the kneading under the operating condition of 3 to 10g vibrating acceleration in the kneading machine, the speed of rotations in an exciting motor of the exciting machine, e.g. in a vibro motor is controlled. At the time of kneading the pulverized sintering raw material under the above-mentioned conditions, the moisture content in the kneaded material is made uniform, and its pelletizing properties in the following pelletizing stage is remarkably improved. Moreover, by the compacting effect, the ball strength of the kneaded material is improved, and furthermore, the effects of accelerating the circulating speed of a rod and the transferring speed of the raw material, improvement in treating capacity or the like can be obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To stably maintain the sinterability of the thickness direction of a raw material packed bed and enhance the strength of sintered ore by compounding returns at a specific ratio into the specific depth region from the surface of the packed bed prior to burning and sintering of the packed bed. CONSTITUTION:The compounded raw materials are supplied from an ore feed hopper 2 to a moving type pallet 1 of a Dwight-Lloyd sintering machine to form the raw material packed bed (g). The raw materials fed out of a hopper 3 for increased compounding of returns or mill scale are fed by a belt conveyor 4 to a simple mixer 5. The returns or mill scale is stored in a subhopper 2b. The raw materials from a main hopper 2a and sub-hopper 2b of the supply hopper 1 are supplied onto the pallet 1 with a time lag. As a result, the returns are compounded at a ratio of 25 to 95wt.% into the compounded raw material region of 50 to 150mm from the surface of the packed bed (g). The ratio is specified to 1 to 15% in the case of the mill scale. The sintered ore is produced by burning and sintering the packed bed (g).
