摘要： PURPOSE:To provide an industrially easy production method for light-weight stampable sheets having a good bending characteristic and a good surface flatness by using a papermaking process. CONSTITUTION:A dispersion is prepared by dispersing reinforcing glass fiber and granular matrix resin in an aqueous medium containing surfactant in which minute air bubbles are dispersed. This dispersion is passed through a porous support to produce a web, which is then heated. While the matrix resin in the web is melted, the web is compressed between heating boards to a thickness 1.5 times as large as the theoretical value or less. The web is immediately expanded between cooling boards to a predetermined thickness.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet substance having no irregular color by adjusting a dispersion liquid having glass fiber and particulate thermoplastic resin dispersed in an interfacial active agent-containing aqueous medium, and adding resin emulsion into the sheet-like web obtained by paper making method in use of the dispersion liquid. CONSTITUTION:The glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin preferably used for manufacturing a structural member requiring high strength and high rigidity, e.g. bumper beam or the like is made in its manufacture by adjusting a dispersion liquid in which, at first, a reinforcing glass fiber of 20-70wt.% and a particulate thermoplastic resin of 30-80wt.% are dispersed into an interfacial active agent-containing aqueous medium having fine small air babbles dispersed therein. Next, by the use of this dispersion liquid, a sheet-like web is formed by a paper making method employing a porous carrier. Following this, a resin emulsion having a particle diameter of 2mum or lower is added into the web, and after heating, the sheet is treated to be solidified by adding heat and pressure thereto. As a consequence of this procedure, there is obtained a glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin having small strength fluctuation and irregular color.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance the bending strength characteristics of a stampable sheet by constituting the stampable sheet consisting of a thermoplastic resin and a reinforcing fiber and constituting the reinforcing fiber of a plurality of assembled cloth layers and matlike fiber layers and setting the pitch of the fiber bundles constituting assembled cloth to a specific range. CONSTITUTION:Assembled cloth is a three-axis assembled cloth wherein a large number of continuous fiber bundles are allowed to cross each other to be bonded at crossing points and a crossing angle is set to 60 deg. and the pitch of the fiber bundles is set to 5-30mm. A plurality of the assembled cloth layers are arranged on a stampable sheet based on a matlike reinforcing fiber and impregnated with a thermoplastic resin by a hot press to be integrated. The matlike reinforcing fibers enters the gaps between the fiber bundles of the assembled cloth under pressure to be entangled with the fiber bundles. At this time, since the pitch of assembled cloth is 5-30mm, close adhesiveness is enhanced and the reinforcing effect of assembled cloth is also enhanced. Therefore, the bending strength of the sheet is enhanced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture a light-weight stampable sheet in which a bending strength is improved by laminating two webs to match the inside with the surfaces in contact with a porous support at the time of making the web, and reheating it at the melting point or higher of the resin to expand it in its thickness direction. CONSTITUTION:Dispersion in which glass fiber and thermoplastic resin particles are dispersed in a surfactant-containing medium containing air bubbles is continuously made on a moving porous support to make a web. In this case, the fiber content in the dispersion is set to 0.2-4.0, the velocity of the separated aqueous solution through the support is set to 4cm per sec or more, and the moving speed of the support is set to 4cm/sec or more. At the time of making the web, the surface in contact with the support is disposed inside, two webs are laminated, reheated, expanded to form a high expanded layer 3 and a low expanded layer 4. Thus, a stampable sheet can be reduced in weight, and its bending strength can be improved.
