    • PURPOSE:To enable automation of the work and uniformize supply and recovery of granules within the desired time and to improve quality of a cold-rolled steel plate by arranging supply-recovery part composed of a rotary hopper, supplying and recovering chutes, nozzle, etc., to a heat treatment furnace. CONSTITUTION:The granules 23 are sent into a supplying hopper 11 through an insert tube 13 with a supplying and pressurized sending device, and while measure-controlling shifting quantity in turning and advance-retreating parts 7, 4, position of the nozzle 21 is matched with supplying position to furnace hearth 22. After that, a supporting frame 9 is ascended/descended with a lift driving part 10 to adjust gap between the nozzle 21 and the furnace hearth 22. Successively, while turning the nozzle 21 by rotating lower part from the rotary hopper 14 with a rotary driving part 15, the granules are qualified with a fixed quantity qualifying feeder 12 and uniformly supplied onto the furnace hearth 22 through a supplying tube 16, hopper 14, supplying chute 18 and nozzle 21. The granules already used, are sucked and recovered into separating device from the nozzle 21 through the recovering chute 19, joint 20 and recovering tube 17 by opening a change-over valve built in the rotary joint 20 and stopping the feeder 12.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly detect irregular defects on the surface of a material to be inspected by detecting the surface defect of the material based on scattered components in the direction rectangular to the grinding direction. SOLUTION: A laser beam outgoing from a helium-neon laser 11 is scanned in the width direction of a cold-drawn steel plate 10 with a rotary mirror 12. A projecting lens 13 projects beams onto the surface of a steel plate 10 in the form of laser beams which are mutually parallel at any position in the width direction of the steel plate 10. A converging lens 14 collects reflected light, and an optical filter 15 filtering-processes it, and an optical detecting element 16 detects it. An A/D converter 17 converts it into a digital signal, and it is accumulated in an image memory 18 in order. A signal process circuit 19 reads out it in order to detect the surface defect of the steel plate 10 on scattered components in the direction rectangular to the grinding direction on the surface of the steel plate 10. The surface defect, namely irregularity, can be certainly detected by utilizing a large quantity of information of the scattered components having a distribution spreading widely in the direction rectangular to the grinding direction.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent drooping from occurring in the innermost winding part of a coil by sticking a double-coated adhesive tape to a specified position of a tip part of a metallic strip when it is taken up in the shape of a coil. CONSTITUTION:When the metallic strip 1 such as a band steel is taken up round a reel 2, the double-coated adhesive tape 8 is stuck to the tip part of the band steel 1 and to the outer winding surface when the band steel is taken up on the coil and the double-coated adhesive tape 8 is stuck to the inner winding surface of the band steel 1 taken up on the outer layer of the double-coated tape by a coiler. The tip part of the innermost winding part of the band steel 1 is joined with the inner winding surface of the 2nd turn of the band steel through the double-coated adhesive tape 8. Or, in a position through a length equal to the outer peripheral length of the reel 2 of the reeling machine from the tip part of the band steel 1, the double-coated adhesive tape 8 is stuck by a tape-sticking roll to the inner winding surface when the double-coated adhesive tape 8 is taken up on the coil, in the coiler the adhesive tape 8 sticks to the outer winding surface of the band steel which is taken up by one turn on its inner layer, and the tip part of the innermost winding part of the band steel and the 2nd turn part of the band steel are joined by the double-coated tape 8. Drooping 11a can be prevented from occurring at the tip part of the innermost winding part of the coil 11.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual inspection device which can accurately detect properties of an article hard to recognize even with the naked eye like curry liquid sticking on a retort curry pack. SOLUTION: The pack 1 which is filled with curry liquid and has its opening part heated and sealed is lightened up and its external shape is detected by a color CCD camera 5; and a color image extracting device 7 extracts only a color image corresponding to the curry liquid from the color image information and various parameters of the color image are matched by pixels against parameters of the curry liquid. The color CCD camera 5 has increased spectral characteristics of red that the curry liquid has. Further, a lighting device 8 uses a fluorescent lamp which has the power spectrum of wavelength nearby 650 nm corresponding to read increased by adjusting a fluorescent agent to color the red of the curry liquid intensely. When the frequency band wherein the power spectrum is emphasized is too narrow, the current liquid possibly does not color intensely or widely, so a fluorescent lamp which has continuous spectra is used.
