摘要： PURPOSE:To moor a ship in the specified position while keeping the tension balance of each rope by calculating the tension of each mooring rope by evaluation function so that the sum of its tension or the sum of squares may be the minimum to drive each winch after measuring a wind force, a wave power and a tidal current power. CONSTITUTION:The hull 1 is moored to a quay 2 through a fender 3 by plural mooring ropes 51-5n, and a wind force, a wave power and a tidal current power, as an external force acting on the hull 1, are measured or estimated by an aerovane, a wave height meter, a chart, tide table and the like. And under a condition kept in a fixed range of the tension of each mooring rope a calculation is performed so that the evaluation function to keep the hull in a target position may be the minimum. In this way the unbalance of the tension of each rope can be made small by minimizing the sum of tension or the sum of squares of each mooring rope and consequently it is made possible to moor a ship in a specified position while preventing the breakage of the rope.

CONSTITUTION:The operator inputs data concerning the distance between a quay to be used and a hull, the height of the quay or the like, to a computer through a key-board in a controller while he observing a graphic on a CRT in the controller. The computer computes the extending-out angle theta1 and descending angle theta2 of a gangway 1. A winch 3 and a cylinder 5 are controlled by a sequencer in accordance with the thus computed angles so that the gangway is automatically laid. At this stage, an obstacle detecting sensor 8 recognizes the presence of obstacles such as, for example, a bit 10 or the like. If an obstacle is there, the gangway 1 is extended out by a predetermined angle, and then, further the recognition of presence of any obstacle is made. Thus, it is possible to lay the gangway at a position where no obstacle there.
