    • PURPOSE: To make the radiation penetration of the curved parts of a shape material uniform and facilitate the inspection of weld zones by disposing jigs which fit to the curved parts in the welding place of the shape material having the irregular thickness curved surfaces between the side plate of the lowermost stage and the bottom plate.
      CONSTITUTION: A jig 7 provided with a curved surface 5a conforming to one irregular thickness curved surface 4a of a shape material 1 and having a surface 6 of which the top surface is parallel to the bottom surface of the material 1 is fitted to said material. A film 8 is abutted on the bottom surface of the material 1 and the radiographic inspection in an arrow direction is carried out. The radiographic inspection is also carried out in the similar manner by using a jig 9 having a curved surface 5b conforming to the other irregular thickness curved surface 4b. Thence, the radiographic inspection is carried out by using jigs 12, 13 provided with curved surfaces 5c, 5d conforming to the remaining parts of the curved surfaces 4a, 4b an having surfaces 10, 11 of which the respective end faces are parallel with the vertical faces of the material 1 and abutting a film 14 on the surface 10 of the jig 12. Thereby, the radiation penetration of the curved surfaces of the mutual welding zones of the shape material 1 are made uniform.
