摘要： PURPOSE:To carry out the biochemical reaction, in high efficiency, by forming a plurality of spaces with porous material layers, feeding a liquid containing microorganisms or enzymes to some of the spaces and feeding raw material liquid to the other spaces, and passing the liquid through the porous layers reciprocally by the pressure difference. CONSTITUTION:The reactors 1,2 are divided into the inner space 4 and the outer space 5 by the porous material layer 3 having micropores which inhibit the passage of microorganisms and enzymes and obtained by sintering the fine particles of metals, ceramics, etc. Microorganisms and its medium, immobilized enzyme and a buffer solution, etc. are circulted in the inner space 4, and the raw material liquid is circulated in the outer space 5. The circulation system is furnished with electromagnetic valves, pumps, etc. to enable the reversion of the flow direction of the liquid. Pressure difference is applied between the inner space and the outer space in a manner to permeate the raw material liquid from the outer space to the inner space 4 in the reaction unit 1, and from the inner space to the outer space 5 through the layer 3 in the unit 2. The product is taken out through the pipe 15 and separated. The clogging of the layer can be removed by reverting flow direction of the liquid.

摘要： PURPOSE:To directly obtain electric power from ocean current and tide by flowing the ocean current between opposite electrodes by utilizing the principle of an MHD generation and applying magnetic fields crossing perpendicualrly to the flowing direction via a superconductive electromagnet. CONSTITUTION:Sea water is flown in the direction of an arrow 5 perpendicularly to the normal line 4 between the electrodes 1 and 2 arranged in parallel. Magnetic fields are formed in the direction 6 by superconductive electromagnets 7 and 8 crossing perpendicularly to the flowing direction as designated by the arrow 5. Accordingly, when the switch 10 of a DC power supply 9 is clsoed by the principle of the MHD generation, the electromagnets 7 and 8 are energized to apply magnetic field thereto. When the switch 10 is then opened and the switch 11 is clsoed, currents will flow through the electromagnets 7 and 8 without attenuation to thereby obtain large electric power between the electrodes 1 and 2.

Also, when the speed of the tidal current is lowered, the switch driving circuit 26 opens the switch 27 and thus the back flow of current from the storage battery 14 to the power generator 11 can be prevented.

The liquid is circulated with the pump 20 to permeate only the liquid compond through the sheet 2, and the product is taken out of the system from the raw material liquid side 5, and separated. When a plurality of the reaction units are used, the clogging of the sheet 2 can be removed by the reverse washing by raising the pressure at the raw material liquid side 5 of the unit out of operation.
