摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the light fastness to ultraviolet rays in a color applied part using a sublimable dye and to prevent a fading phenomenon from occurring. SOLUTION: This color applied part is obtained by forming a receiving layer 12 of a colored dial plate 10 into about 20 μm thickness from a coating prepared by compounding 100 pts.wt. of a transparent polyurethane resin with about 2.5 pts.wt. of an ultraviolet light absorber which is 2-(3,5-di-t-butyl-2- hydroxyphenyl)benzotriazole and forming the surface of the coating layer into a smooth surface by polishing. The method for applying the color comprises dipping the receiving layer 12 in a sublimable dye solution prepared by heating a solution obtained by compounding a polyester resin, etc., with the sublimable dye at about 100-120 deg.C for about 1-3 min, washing the receiving layer 12, drying the washed receiving layer, then pressurizing the surface of the receiving layer 12 in a heated state at about 180 deg.C under about 4 kg/cm2 pressurization with a pressurizing device and coloring the surface of the receiving layer 12. Thereby, the beautiful applied color without coloring unevenness is obtained and the light fastness is excellent.

SOLUTION: A silver plating operation is executed to a display-plate base body 11 to which an Ni plating operation is executed. A silver film 12 is formed. A transparent receptive layer 13 is formed on the surface of the silver film 12. An ink in which three kinds of yellow, red and blue sublimable dyes (the yellow dye: about 90% or more; the red dye: about 5% or less; the blue dye: about 5% or less) are mixed is printed on a sheet of paper. A sheet of transfer paper is manufactured. The sheet of transfer paper is piled up on the receptive layer 13, it is warmed and pressurized (at about 18 deg.C and under about 4 kg/cm2) so as to be transferred, and a gold hue which is tuned to a desired hue is revealed. Alternatively, a yellow sublimable dye, a red sublimable dye and a blue sublimable dye are prepared, and the sheet of transfer paper is immersed sequentially for a prescribed time so as to be colored. By using the sublimable dyes, a gold hue which is equivalent to a gold plated hue can be revealed at low costs.

SOLUTION: Subliming dyes different in the colors are separately dissolved in a solvent to prepared at least two kinds of dyes solutions different in colors. A blank clock dial plate 3 having a dye-accepting layer 2 formed is immersed into the first dye solution (for example, blue dye solution), then into the second dye solution (for example, yellow dye solution) where both of the solutions are heated at a prescribed temperature, respectively. The first dye capacity (blue) + the second dye capacity (yellow) are controlled to that below the saturated dye capacity to dye the acceptor layer 2 in a desired tinting (green), thereby forming the colored clock dial plate 10. When the surface of the dye- accepting layer 2 is made flat and smooth, it is dyed uniformly, and the dye is deeply penetrated when the surface of the accepting layer is pressurized. The storage space and the labor for control can be saved.
