摘要： PURPOSE:To remove a defective product by classifying the generation state of the flaw of an object to be measured into at least two or more kinds of state to detect the same and operating a removing means on the basis of the detected value. CONSTITUTION:The light emitted from a floodlight projector 3 is reflected from the surface of the pulp sheet 6 on each of belt conveyors 8, 9 to be detected by a photodetector 4. The quantity of light change corresponding to the number of impurities of the sheet and the area of the impurities thereof. The reflected light is converted to an electric signal by the photodetector 4 to be guided to a control part 10. The lower limit value of the area of impurities and two kinds of numerical values (control values A, B) of the number and area of impurities for process control for classifying the sheet 6 into a good product, a light flaw product and a heavy flaw product are preset to the control part 10. The size of impurities is compared with the lower limit value of the area and a large value exceeding the lower limit of the area is added to the number and area of the impurities. That is, when the generation of impurities detected by the control part 10 exceeds the control value A, the generation of the heavy flaw product is identified and pulp is charged in a heavy flaw product box 11.
