摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a damage to a body panel resulting from a frontal-collision load on the arch part of an automotive bumper. SOLUTION: An arch part 1A bent from a frontal part 1a rearward at a corner part is screwed to the bottom panel of a body front part positioned over a screw inserting hole 11 through the screw inserting hole 11 formed in a synthetic resin plate like screw seat 10 provided on the rear surface of the arch part. A clearance 18 is formed between the front end 19 of the screw seat 10 and the arch front part 1A. A laterally oblong hole-shaped clearance groove 12 communicating with the screw inserting hole 11, extending midway to a front end 19, and smaller in width than the outside diameter of a screw so as to relief the screw from an impact load applied from the front to the arch front part 1A and a thin wall thickness part 13 reaching from the clearance groove 12 to the front end 19 and smaller in wall thickness than that around the screw inserting hole 11 are formed on the screw seat 10 in the area ranging from the screw inserting hole 11 to the front end 19.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bumper mounting structure of an automobile capable of securing pedestrian protecting performance effectively and significantly with a small number of mounting components. SOLUTION: A lower part of a front bumper cover 1 is mounted and fixed to a cross member 5 on a body side at a plurality of points. A plurality of ribs 10 and 10' projecting toward the cross member 5 are disposed inside the lower part of the front bumper cover 1. Front parts of the ribs 10 and 10' have hollow structures having a clearance between the front part and the lower inner surface of the front bumper cover 1. At least three or more ribs 10 and 10' are disposed projectedly, and the lower part of the front bumper cover 1 is screwed with the cross member 5 near at least two ribs. The plurality of ribs 10 and 10' are disposed inside the lower part of the front bumper cover 1, thereby increasing rigidity around the lower part of the front bumper cover 1.
