    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method capable of forming a multi-layer coating film excellent in finishing properties and water resistance without mixing of the layers when after a water-based primer is applied to a polyolefin bumper, a top coating of the next step is applied without preheating.SOLUTION: The coating method includes: coating a polyolefin bumper face heated so that the surface temperature of -3 to +20°C to a coating booth temperature of 15-35°C is obtained when the olefin bumper passes by installing far infrared ray heaters on both sides and on upper part of conveyer of an entrance of a coating booth with the water-based primer including a water-based dispersion of a modified polyolefin (A), a water-based urethane resin (B), a water-based acrylic resin (C), a diester compound (D) and an electrically conductive pigment (E) with a predetermined compounding ratio at a predetermined film thickness; coating the coated face with a solvent type colored base coat coating without preheating; coating furthermore the coated face with a solvent type clear coat coating; and baking simultaneously these three layers coating film.
