    • PURPOSE:To form an anion electrodepositing film excellent in durability at low cost by electrodepositing the surface of an Al-based metallic member with acrylic resin electrodeposition coating and thereafter successively electrodepositing the surface with fluororesin electrodeposition coating having specified electrodeposition film polarization value. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a member made of Al or Al alloy is electrodeposited with anion type acrylic resin electrodeposition coating described hereunder at 0.01-0.7mA/cm minimum electrodeposition current density. This anion type acrylic resin electrodeposition coating is obtained by dispersing resin which has both water dispersive acrylic resin contg. carboxyl group and a cross-linking agent as a vehicle component into water with a neutralizer and has 200-2500kOMEGA.cm electrodeposition film polarization value. Then an anion electrodepositing film excellent in durability is formed at low cost by electrodepositing anion type fluororesin electrodeposition film wherein the heretofore known electrodeposition film polarization value (kOMEGA.cm ) is the same polarization value as the above-mentioned anion type acrylic resin electrodeposition coating or its difference is small value of about 1500 in the maximum at 0.01-0.7mA/cm minimum electrodeposition current density or at 0.6mA/cm smaller than it in the maximum.

    • PURPOSE: To provide the titled paint compsn. which can impart high weather resistance by one coating, by neutralizing a mixture of an acrylic polycarboxylate resin having an acid value within a specified range and a low-melting fluororesin with ammonia or an org. amine.
      CONSTITUTION: An α,b-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid (e.g. acrylic acid), an acrylic monomer (e.g. 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate) and other ethylenically unsaturated monomer (e.g. styrene) copolymerizable therewith are copolymerized to prepare an acrylic polycarboxylate resin having acid value of 30W100. The resin is mixed with a fluororesin having a m.p. of 200°C or below (e.g. polyvinylidene fluoride resin) and the mixture is neutralized with ammonia or an org. amine (e.g. triethylamine) to obtain the desired highly weather- resistant electrodepositing paint compsn. The compsn. is suitable for use in the electrodeposition coating of anodized aluminum material in particular.
