    • PURPOSE:To improve performance by adding lime, silica sand, etc., to the incinerated ash of sewage sludge, specifying the ratio of calcium/silicon, adding an epoxy resin to globular slag obtained by crushing the melt by air and kneading and molding the slag. CONSTITUTION:Lime, silica sand, brick chips, LD slag, etc., are added to the incinerated ash of sewage sludge, and the ratio of calcium/silicon is brought to 1.0-2.0 at the conversion ratio of CaO/SiO2. The melt is crushed by high-speed air, thus forming globular air-crushed slag. The dye and pigment of an inorganic group, etc., and a polyvinyl alcohol derivative having an SiO2 reactive group shown in formula I are prepared. In formula, X, X and X represent an alkyl group, a hydrogen atom, a potassium atom, a sodium atom and an ammonium group. An epoxy resin is added to these substances, thus forming a proper quantity of inter-grain air gaps. The kneaded substance is poured into forms or spread all over a subbase course and rolled, and covered with a sheet for approximately twenty-four hours and cured, thus forming a color pavement slab. Accordingly, appearance, strength and water permeability can be improved while environmental contamination such as heavy metal eluation can be prevented, and incinerated ash can be utilized effectively.

    • PURPOSE:To improve performance by adding water and kneading crystallized sewage sludge slag having specific grain size, cement and a colorant at a specific weight ratio and forming a tabular molded form having specific porosity. CONSTITUTION:Crystallized sewage sludge slag having grain size of 0.01-5mm, preferably 30-60wt.%, one having grain size of 0.74-1mm and 20-140wt.%, one having grain size of 1-5mm are prepared. The dye and pigment of an inorganic group, etc., and a polyvinyl alcohol derivative having an SiO2 reactive group shown in formula I are prepared. In formula, X, X and X represent an alkyl group, a hydrogen atom, a potassium atom, a sodium atom and an ammonium group. 3-20wt.% cement and an additive such as a methyl cellulose group, the admixture and accelerator of an acrylic group, a water-reducing agent, an antifreezing agent, etc., as required are prepared. Water is added to these substances and these substances are kneaded, and poured into forms, thus forming a water-permeable color pavement slab having porosity of 20-30%. Accordingly, appearance, strength and water permeability can be improved while environmental contamination such as heavy metal eluation can be prevented, and incinerated ash can be utilized effectively.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the abrasion resistance of a formed body composed mainly of a powder produced by modifying vitreous blast-furnace slag powder with an alkaline aqueous solution or xonotlite, etc., by surface-finishing the formed body by flame-spraying process. CONSTITUTION:Powder of vitreous blast-furnace slag having a Blaine specific surface area of >=4,000cm /g is treated with an aqueous solution of an alkali such as NaOH having a concentration of >=0.5N at about 90 deg.C for >=30min to adjust the BET specific surface area to 20-140m /g by a glass-dissolution reaction and a hydration reaction. The treated product is washed with water and dehydrated by heating at about 250-800 deg.C to further increase the specific surface area. The surface-modified slag powder or its mixture with xonotlite, etc., is mixed with 3-20wt.% of a polymer additive, 1-20wt.% of synthetic pulp, 2-20wt.% of reinforcing fiber, proper amount of a cationic polymer flocculent and water to obtain a slurry. The slurry is formed by a paper-machine, etc., and dried by heating to obtain a porous formed body having a bulk density of 0.2-1g/cm . The objective light-weight formed body is produced by forming a coating film of 20-300mum thick on the surface by the plasma-spraying, etc., of a metal such as Al or a metal oxide such as SiO2 to the surface.
