    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal composition having physical stability and also excellent in sensory characteristics by including a compound having a long-chain acyl group, a dialkylamide group and carboxyl group in respective specific numbers as a liquid crystal forming constituent. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal composition is obtained by including a compound having two 10-18C (preferably 12-16C) long-chain acyl groups, two N,N'- dialkylamide groups and two or more carboxyl groups in one molecule as a liquid crystal forming constituent. The liquid crystal composition is prepared by dispersing the above compound alone under heating (preferably at 40-100 deg.C, more preferably 60-90 deg.C) in water and by cooling the dispersion, preferably followed by repeating dispersing procedure under heating several times. For example, supersonic treatment or mixing treatment with a laboratory mixer is employed as the dispersing method. The content of the compound is selected in a range of 0.1-80 wt.% depending on respective states of a homogeneously transparent solution, gel and emulsion.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic excellent in preservation stability and capable of being used with respect to hue by including a specific anionic surfactant therein. SOLUTION: The cosmetic is obtained by including an anionic surfactant represented by formula I (m) is 2-8; [(n)+1] is 8-20; AO is a 3-6C alkylene oxide; (p) is 1-50; EO is a 2C ethylene oxide; (g) is 1-50; Y is sulfate, phosphate or the like; the counterion is hydrogen ion, a mono- or a bivalent alkali metal ion, ammonium ion or the like} in an amount of preferably 0.01-50 wt.% based on the total amount of the obtained cosmetic. The surfactant represented by formula I is prepared according to a method for reacting, e.g. a compound represented by the formula 2Cn H2n+1 COCl with a compound represented by the formula NH2 (CH2 )m NH2 , providing a compound represented by formula II, then reacting the resultant compound represented by formula II with a compound represented by the formula pC3 H6 O, affording a compound represented by formula III, subsequently reacting the prepared compound with a compound represented by the formula qC2 H4 O, reacting the resultant compound represented by formula IV with a compound represented by formula ClSO3 H and providing a compound represented by formula V.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition, having low irritation to skin, good in foaming and excellent in conditioning effects by compounding a specific anionic surfactant with an anionic surfactant containing one chain and one polar group, a nonionic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant and a polymer. SOLUTION: This detergent composition comprises (A) an anionic surfactant containing two long-chain acyl groups and two polar groups e.g. N,N'-bis(2- lauramidoethyl)ethylenediamine-N,N'-di(sodium acetate)}, (B) an anionic surfactant containing one chain and one polar group (e.g. sodium N- dodecanoylglutamate), (C) a nonionic surfactant (e.g. lauric acid diethanolamide), (D) an amphoteric surfactant (preferably lauramidopropyl betaine) and (E) a polymer. The amounts of the ingredients are preferably 1-40wt.% ingredient A, 1-60wt.% ingredient B, 1-8wt.% ingredient C, 1-8wt.% ingredient D and 0.02-4wt.% ingredient E at 3-10 weight ratio of the ingredients (A+B)/the ingredients (C+D).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cleanser composition including a stably formulated microbicide and capable of imparting effects for sufficiently preventing itching, and deodorant or odor-removing effects to a scalp, also excellent in detergency and foaming ability and useful as a cleansing cream, etc., by including prescribed amounts of a specific anionic surfactant and the microbicide. SOLUTION: This cleansing composition comprises (A) one or not less than two kinds of anionic surfactants with two chains and two polar groups containing amido groups e.g. N,N'-bis[2-myristoylamidoethyl]ethylenediamine-N, N'-di(sodium acetate)}, (B) 0.002-5wt.% microbicide of one or more compounds selected from a group of 2,4,4'-trichloro-2-hydroxydiphenyl ether, 3,4,4'- trichlorocarbanilide, benzethonium chloride, zinc bis(2-pyridylthio)-N-oxide, piroctoneolamin, photosensitive materials, an 8-22C unsaturated fatty acid such as undecylenic acid and sulfur, and preferably (C) 1-40wt.% clay mineral.
