摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify the part of a cooling water passage, through which water seeps. SOLUTION: If the circumferential wall of a rectangular pipe forming a cooling water passage 106 has a part through which water seeps, helium gas is once forced out toward the part of the circumferential wall of the rectangular pipe, through which water seeps and an insulating material on the outer periphery of the part, and then the helium gas forced out is drawn to the water- seeping part side inside the cooling water passage 106, to obtain the state of viscous fluid. In that state, if a suction probe 12 moved through the cooling water passage 106 sucks the helium gas, the position of the part of the cooling water passage 16 through which water seeps is specified according to the amount of movement of the suction probe 12 in the cooling water passage 106. Thus, the position of the part through which water seeps can be known with precision.

摘要： PURPOSE:To avoid the deterioration of the mechanical strength and the dielectric strength of a metallurgical junction by a method wherein the junction of an electric conductor which is made of hard drawn copper and which is used to generate high mangetic field is cold-processed and the conductor is insulated by the insulation material which has smaller elongation at break than the conductor. CONSTITUTION:The thickness T1 of the neiborhood of a junction 12 of conductors 11 which are made of hard drawn copper and which are used to form a poloidal coil of a nuclear fusion equipment and so forth is made larger than the thickness T2 of regular part of the conductor 11 and the junction 12 is made by metallurgical method. The l-section which is softened by the metallurgical junction and the thickness T1 of which is larger than the thickness T2 of the regular part of the conductor 11 is compresed and cold-processed to the thickness direction so as to have the same thickness T2 as the conductor. Over the conductors 11 the insulation 17 is applied. The insulation 17 is made of the material, for instance epoxy system or polyester system with mica glass as base substance, which has smaller elongation at break than the conductor 11. With this constitution, the deterioration of the mechanical strength of the junction 12 is avoided and the deterioration of the dielectric strength by the application of high stress is also avoided.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration and breakdown of insulation of toroidal magnetic field coil by a method wherein shielding plates are placed in the toroidal magnetic field coils and between the toroidal magnetic field coil and a torus type vacuum vessel. CONSTITUTION:The toroidal magnetic field coils 2 are supported by coil supporters 4 through insulating layers to the earth 5, and the shielding plates 6 are arranged circumferentially surrounding the insulating layers to the earth 5 at the side of the vacuum vessel 1. The shielding plates 6 are earthed through terminal plates 7 and the coil supporters 4. Therefore by the existence of the shielding plates 6, it has the structure having no electrical projection at the potential side to the earth, the distribution of electrical inclination is equalized and the generation of corona discharge can be prevented.
