The device comprises: a GPS reception unit 150 for performing the positioning based on the GPS signal received from the GPS satellite which is successfully tracked; a GPS power supply unit 152 for supplying electric power to the GPS reception unit; a stop time derivation unit 172 for deriving stop time according to number of the GPS satellite captured by the GPS reception unit and a reception level; and a stop control unit 174 for making the GPS power supply unit to stop power supply to the GPS reception unit during the derived stop time if a period which the GPS reception unit cannot track the GPS satellite passes a first predetermined time.
