    • PURPOSE:To obtain the tube being white and having a high contrast effect and to prevent it from being discolored with the lapse of time by constituting the tube by forming the inside layer by a tubular synthetic resin in which a fluid passage is formed in the inside, forming the intermediate layer by dispersing an X-ray contrast media in the synthetic resin and giving ultraviolet ray transmission resistance to the outside layer and forming the tube consisting of three layers. CONSTITUTION:An inside layer 1 consists of a tubular synthetic resin in which a fluid passage 4 is formed in the inside, and an ethylene tetrafluoride copolymerization resin is used. An intermediate layer 2 is formed by dispersing an X-ray contrast-media consisting of white bismuth into a synthetic resin, and a white bismuth compound is a white bismuth crystal consisting of bismuth oxide, bismuth nitrate and bismuth sulfate, and that which is 83-88weight% bismuth content is used, and by dispersing and mixing it is a synthetic resin within a range of 3-25weight%, the inside layer 1 is covered. The outside of the intermediate layer 2 is covered with an outside layer 3 formed by dispersing and mixing titanium oxide of 0.05-1.0mum particle size by 0.5-2.0weight% in the synthetic resin. In such a way, the appearance shows white and at the time of using it for the human body, there is no sense of incompatibility, ultraviolet rays are prevented as to its transmission by the outside layer 3, and yellowing of white bismuth is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To allow the easy extrusion molding of the above tube and the tearing thereof by pulling from any place in a circumferential direction and to facilitate the mounting thereof to a hub by forming the tube wall of a silicone/polyimide copolymer resin. CONSTITUTION:The tube 1 for introduction consists of the tube body 2 formed of the silicone/polyimide copolymer resin and its top end is tapered. The cylindrical hub 3 provided with two pieces of slits 3a from the one end side to the other end side in the opposite positions of the peripheral wall in parallel with the axial center is fixed to the base end side of the body 2. The body 2 extrusion molded by increasing the drag rate after discharging from, for example, a die, or increasing the length of the land part of the die to the size larger than ordinary sizes to intensify the orientation in the longitudinal direction of the tube. The entanglement of the molecular chains with each other in the circumferential direction of the tube is extremely decreased as compared with the case of non-orientation, by which the mechanical strength in the circumferential direction of the tube wall is drastically decreased. The tube body 2 is thus easily tearable longitudinally from any place on the circumference.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a catheter constructed so that a braided body is buried in the tube wall except a tip portion and manufacture thereof. CONSTITUTION:A braided body 3 formed by a hard metallic wire with high rigidity such as a stainless steel wire or the like is, with the end portions 3a thereof heat-treated and softened, disposed on the outside of an inner tube 2 except a portion corresponding to tip portion 1B of a catheter 1, and the outside thereof is continuously covered with an outer tube 4. The main body portion 1A of the catherter 1 is hardened moderately by burying the braided body 3 so that the torque transmissibility is given. On the other hand, the tip portion 1B of the catherter 1 where there is no braided body 3 is held in a flexible state. Accordingly, as the end portion of the braided body 3 is not expanded, it is possible to reduce the diameter of the catherter, and further it is not necessary to fix the end portion, so that the productivity can be improved.
