摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording medium having good ink jet recording characteristics and gloss feeling at the same level as that of photographic paper for a silver salt photograph. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording medium comprises a high glossy recording layer containing a polyvinyl alcohol on a support having air permeability. The recording medium is manufactured by coating/drying the recording layer, then treating the layer with a mixed solution of a borate/a boric acid, press bonding the layer to the surface of a mirror surface drum by heating the recording layer while the layer remains a wetting state to dry the recording layer.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a moisture-proof paper for paper packaging for electrophotography without lowering the frictional coefficient of small-sized cutting paper and without causing transfer of wax, and capable of being reproduced, by providing a water-defiberizable specific moisture-proofing layer containing wax on the surface of paper substrate. SOLUTION: This moisture-proof paper is provided with a water- disaggregatable moisture-proof layer containing wax on the surface of paper substrate, and the moisture-proof layer comprises a styrene-acrylic copolymer, rosin, wax and pigment such as calcium carbonate having 5-30 μm average particle diameter. The moisture-proof layer comprises, preferably, a mixture of a styrene-acryl copolymer with a rosin and a styrene-butadiene copolymer in an amount of 0-50 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the mixture and the weight ratio of the styrene-acryl copolymer with the rosin is preferably (70/30) to (95/5).

SOLUTION: This moistureproof paper is obtained by formulating a synthetic resin such as a styrene-acrylic or a styrene-butadiene-based resin in a solid content of 100 pts.wt. with a wax such as a paraffinic, a polyethylene-based or a microcrystalline wax in a solid content of 1-20 pts.wt. and an organic pigment in which at least one of constituent monomers is the same kind as that of the synthetic resin and having 5-70 μm average particle diameter, e.g. an organic pigment comprising a methyl methacrylate-styrene-based resin in a solid content of 0.1-50 pts.wt. when the synthetic resin is the styrene-acrylic resin, forming a moistureproof composition and then coating at least one surface of a paper substrate with the above moistureproof composition in a coating weight within the range of 3-30 g/m2, preferably 5-25 g/m2.
