      SOLUTION: In this production system for practicing the production method of the cut tobacco, a second additive liquid is applied to the cut tobacco obtained by cutting tobacco leaf in a second fragrance-applying device 8 and the cut tobacco is selected into a large mass portion entangled to each other and a loosened portion before the cut tobacco is dried with stream and the loosened portion of the cut tobacco is dry-treated by stream drying and mass portion of the cut tobacco is loosened by a cut tobacco-loosening device 12 and then stream-dried.

    • PURPOSE:To execute inspection of a capsule filled with a liquid, in a short time and without fail, by a method wherein the liquid-filled capsule to be inspected which is subjected to a pressure reducing process is sorted into a nondefective and a defective according t0 W weight difference. CONSTITUTION:Water-filled capsules for cigarette filters to be inspected are charged into a hopper part 1. A moving pocket 2 supplies a pressure reducing part 3 with a prescribed amount of the capsules dropped from the hopper part 1. In the pressure reducing part 3, the capsules are subjected to a pressure reducing process while they are shaken in a pressure reducing chamber 36 (hermetically closed space). By the pressure reducing process, a filled liquid leaks out of the capsules having a defective part (defectives), while it remains in the capsules having no defective part (non-defectives). Since the filled liquid comes into contact with the defective part in the course of shaking, the filled liquid surely leaks out of the capsules having the defective part. A conveyor 4 conveys the capsules after the pressure, reducing process to a sorting means 5. In the sorting means 5, the capsules subjected to the pressure reducing process are sorted into the nondefectives and defectives according to a weight difference.

CONSTITUTION:Fold-delaying grooves 36 extending across an insertion hole 26 toward sides 4b of an upper lid 4 are provided to the undersurface 25a of a folding board 25, to which the insertion hole 26 in the diameter capable of accepting a capsule 2 is provided to a position corresponding to each of the capsules arranged in the direction intersecting the direction of carriage at a right angle. Tapered faces 37a are formed to positions where the insertion hole 26 crosses the undersurface 25a, and tapered surfaces 37b are formed to positions where the insertion hole 26 crosses the fold-delaying grooves 36. Thereby, peripheral edges of the upper lid are folded with its apexes 4b1 folded first and with its sides 4b2 folded afterward in placing the upper lid in square shape over the capsule 2 by lowering the folding board 25 and folding the lid along the outer peripheral face of the capsule 2.

    • PURPOSE:To take out an object from a tray by a method wherein compressed air is blown against a position corresponding to a through hole in the bottom of the tray formed with a recess for storing the object having a through hole in the bottom. CONSTITUTION:An apparatus for taking out objects is provided with an air chamber 7 having blow-out nozzles 6 of compressed air, a compressor 8 for supplying compressed air, a solenoid valve 10 for controlling compressed air supply provided on the midway of a coupling tube 9 between the air chamber 7 and the compressor 8 and a detector 11 for sending control signal to the valve 10 based on the detection of the object, while the blow-out nozzles 6 and the air chamber 7 are installed on a lower part of a conveyer 5. The respective blow-out nozzle 6 are located at intervals equal to those of through holes 1 of a tray 3 and provided in a lateral straight line. By blowing compressed air against position corresponding to the through hole 1 in the bottom 3a of the tray 3 formed with a recess 2 for storing the object and blowing out a compact capsule 4 stored in the recess 2 upward, the compact capsule 4 is taken out from the tray 3.

    • PURPOSE:To easily inspect a large number of small-sized containers on the way of conveying at once within a short time by placing small-sized containers on the recessed parts of a tray and supplying compressed air with predetermined pressure to the bottom surface of the tray from a nozzle on the tray. CONSTITUTION:When a tray having small-sized containers 9 placed on the respective recessed parts 5 thereof is fed to a table by a conveying device, the tray is detected by a tray detecting sensor 32 and a solenoid valve 20 is opened by the detection signal from the sensor 22 to supply compressed air adjusted to predetermined pressure and a predetermined flow rate to the bottom surface of the tray through respective blowoff nozzles 15. When the through-holes 6 of the fed tray coincide with the nozzles 15, the small-sized containers 9 are pushed upwardly. In the small-sized container 9 whose liquid amount is a predetermined amount or less, the push-up force of air becomes larger than the total wt. of the small-sized container 9 to float the container 9. The floated lightweight small-sized container 9 is detected by a sensor using a floodlight projector 23 and a photodetector 24 and the detection signal is sent to a control part 25 to send one set of the small-sized containers 9 to a re-inspection area.

    • PURPOSE:To select accurately and quickly articles of different weight by installing a suction pipe communicating with a suction pump on the upstream side of a wind channel pipe with a feed section of the article and forming a removal opening for parts dropping without being sucked to the lower end side of the wind channel pipe. CONSTITUTION:When a suction pump 3 is operated, wind is blasted in a wind channel pipe 2 at the given speed from below upward to generate a suction flow flowing from below upward. Out of water capsules fed successively from a feed section 1 into the wind channel pipe 2, the capsules lighter than the suction force are drawn from the upstream side of the wind channel pipe 2 into a suction pipe 4 and stored in a storage chamber 6. At that time, the operation of the suction pump 3 is adjusted in compliance with the output of a suction sensing means 5. On the other hand, capsules heavier than the suction force are not sucked and dropped through inside the wind channel pipe 2 by gravity and taken out of removal openings 7. The remaining time of water capsules in the wind channel pipe 2 is extended by blowing from below upward by a blower 8 to drop heavy capsules only in a more secured manner.
