    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage battery and a manufacturing method of the storage battery wherein the elucidation of failure cause can be made easier when the failure occurs in the early stage due to the cause of the electrode plate 1 and an active material by applying a carved seal 7 in which a fabrication lot of this current collector 6 is shown on the current collector 6 of the electrode plate 1. SOLUTION: In the storage battery provided with the electrode plate 1 which has made the current collector 6 hold the active material, the carved seal 7 in which the fabrication lot of the current collector 6 is shown is applied to the upper frame 6c and the lower frame 6d of the current collector 6 of this electrode plate 1.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cycle life by using Pb-Sb based alloy containing a specific rate of Sb for a positive electrode and including lignin in a separator between a positive and a negative electrode plates. SOLUTION: Pb-Sb based alloy used for a positive electrode grid contains Sb more than 0.5% and less than 1.7%. This constitution can prevent early capacity reduction in the positive electrode plate, fall of the active material, and the extended grid. Addition of lignin to a separator layer captures Sb in the separator layer so as to suppress increase in water decomposition. The separator is set to a multi-layered structure of two or more layers and if the lignin content in the separator layer being in contact with the positive electrode plate is reduced lower than that in the other separator layers, an inferior effect caused by resolution of the lignin in the positive electrode plate in charging can be suppressed. If the lignin content in the separator abutting to the negative electrode plate is set lower than that in the other separators, inferior effects such as reduction in receipt of the charging of the negative electrode plate caused by excess of the lignin quantity around the negative electrode is suppressed.

    • PURPOSE:To improve charging/discharging cycle life of a sealed lead-acid battery for absorbing oxygen gas formed during charging into a negative electrode, by using a positive electrode lattice consisting of a lead-antimony alloy, and by providing an organic high polymer having an ion exchanging functional group between a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate. CONSTITUTION:The diameter of the primary particle of silica very fine powder used for an electrolyte holder is 10-40nm, and the surface area is 20m /g. A powder-form cation exchange resin of 200-400 mesh is used as an ion exchange resin, and the capacity of the exchange group of the resin is no less than 4.4meg/g-R. The lifetime is thus extended while the current decreasing is reduced. Since a lead-antimony alloy is used for a positive electrode lattice, degradation of positive electrode active material and the extension of the lattice are expected to be reduced. The movement of antimony from a positive electrode to a negative electrode is considered to be inhibited by the ion exchange resin. In the diagram indicating the result, the curves 1-3, of the curves indicating transition of discharging capacity and transition of the amount of reduced liquid, indicate the characteristic of the battery used.
