摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure vapor discharge lamp for preventing generation of back arc when stating a lamp, reducing lamp initial defectives and improving a service life characteristics. SOLUTION: In the high pressure vapor discharge lamp in which a luminescent tube having a main tube made of translucent ceramic and a capillary having a small diameter than that of the main tube at both the ends are used, an electric introducing body is airtightly fixed by a sealing member by being inserted into the capillary, an electrode is connected with a center side of the luminescent tube of the electric introducing body, the electrode is constituted of an electrode core bar, a first coil wound on an internal side of the luminescent tube and a second coil wound on an external side of the luminescent tube and the luminescent tube filled with ionizable filler including metal halide is provided, a ceramic member is mounted between the first coil and the second coil.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long life high-pressure vapor discharge lamp in which the temperature of a light emission narrow tube is made to be lower in lighting, and in which the reaction to a metal halide in an inner surface of the light emission narrow tube can be suppressed, and a leak is prevented. SOLUTION: In the high-pressure discharge lamp wherein a main tube and light translucent ceramic tubes having a narrow tube of a smaller diameter than that of the main tube in both ends of the main tube are used as a light emission tube, wherein the light emission tube to which an electricity introducing body that is inserted and penetrated into the narrow tube and that is airtightly fixed by sealing materials, and into which ionizable fillers containing metal halides are enclosed is assembled in an outer glass tube that is maintained in a high vacuum atmosphere of 0.2 Pa or less, and wherein a startup auxiliary conductor is installed in the vicinity of the light emission tube, the startup auxiliary conductor is made by a filament of a heat- resistant metal, and wound to be fixed around a surface of the narrow tube in the vicinity of the junction part between the main tube and the narrow tube of both end parts of the light emission tube, and one end of the startup auxiliary conductor is electrically connected to the electricity introducing body at least at the time of lamp startup.

The connector 9 on the light source cylinder 7 side is connected to an external power source, a conductor 11 of the other end is connected to a metal terminal 6 of a lamp outer sphere tip end via a second conductor 9', and the lamp and the external power source are connected to each other. The conductor 11 and the metal terminal 6 are connected and secured with the connector 9' with bolt screws respectively.
