摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition useful for foods and drinks, having moderately high viscosity, excellent heat resistance and productivity free from quality reduction by reacting a starch, etc., under a specific condition, forming a given amount of a mixture such as maltohexaose, etc., and reducing. CONSTITUTION:In hydrolyzing a starch or a starch-based glucide with alpha-amylase of malt, the reaction is carried out under a condition at pH 4.5-6.5 at 40-70 deg.C in the presence of pullulanase and isoamylase in amounts to give a total amount of a value of 100 times pullulanase active unit and isoamylase active units of >=22.5 units based on 1 unit of alpha-amylase of malt to form 30-80wt.% mixture of maltohexaose and maltoheptaose, which is reduced in the presence of a catalyst such as Raney-nickel at 80-150 deg.C under 10-250kg/cm hydrogen pressure to give the objective composition. The mixture contains preferably =8 DP.

摘要： PURPOSE:To easily obtain at a low cost mannitol or mannose useful as a raw material for medicines, foodstuff or cosmetics by separating in high efficiently mannose from a high fructose corn syrup mixed solution of both glucose and mannose. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a high fructone corn syrup mixture of both glucose and mannose is prepared by isomerization of a glucose solution. Secondly, this mixture is injected at pref. 20-80 deg.C into a fixed bed packed with a Pb-or Cu-type strongly acidic cation exchange resin to separate it into a glucose fraction and a mannose fraction, and the former fraction is pref. returned to the isomerization process. Thence, the mannose fraction separated is put to high-pressure catalytic reduction into mannitol, which is, in turn, crystallized, thus giving mannitol form the glucose solution in an industrically advantageous way. If the isometerization is made at >=70 deg.C (pref. 80-140 deg.C) using as catalyst molybdic acid carried on a strongly basic anion exchange resin with porous polymer matrix structure, rapid decline in catalyst activity can be suppressed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the titled substance at a low cost, by neutralizing a hydrolysis liquid of Monostroma nitidum Wittrock, passing the liquid through an alkali (alkaline earth) metal salt type cation-exchange resin to separate into sugar component and salts, and then the sugar component is subjected successively to purification, concentration and crystallization. CONSTITUTION:Monostoma nitidum Wittrock is subjected to hot water- extraction to extract its water-soluble component and hydrolized at 120-140 deg.C by adding an inorganic acid, normally such as sulfuric acid. Then thus obtained hydrolysis liquid is neutralized to 5-7pH by adding normally a metal hydroxide or carbonate, as necessary, followed by addition of activated charcoal and filtration to obtain the neutralized hydrolysis liquid. Then a specific amount of the said neutralized liquid is fed to a column packed with an alkali (alkaline earth) metal salt type cation-exhange resin and separated into a sugar component and salts by using such as water as an eluent. Further the sugar component is subjected to purification treatment such as decolorization and deionization, and concentrated and crystallized to obtain the aimed substance.
