摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embankment stabilizing method by means of reduced pressure wherein a horizontal drainage material is sufficiently used to drain off water reliably in a short period of time, thereby shortening a construction period and accelerating the stabilization of the embankment, which embankment can be formed using a material of high moisture. SOLUTION: At least one straight pipe 30 is placed on the surface of land, where an embankment is formed, while a large number of first perforated pipes 41 to be connected to the inner end side of the pipe 30 are placed on a first horizontal drainage material 21 laid on the surface of land. The lower end of a first vertical pipe 51 is connected to the inner end of the pipe 30, and a first embankment is formed on the drainage material 21 and pipes 41. And air is exhausted from within the first embankment by a vacuum pump 32, while water is discharged to the outside of the embankment by a drainage pump 31 connected to the outside of the pump 32. A second vertical pipe is connected to the upper end of the vertical pipe 51, and on the first embankment, a second horizontal drainage material and a large number of second perforated pipes are connected to the second vertical pipe and a second embankment is formed on these pipes, and then water is drained from the first and second horizontal drainage materials and the first and second perforated pipes by means of the vacuum pump 32 and drainage pump 31. These steps are repeated.
