    • PURPOSE:To provide a detector in the title that has reproductivity by inserting and soldering a sheath type thermocouple to near the heat receiving face of a measuring cup of high melting point that is made of a highly heat conductive body and is longer enough than the heat penetration. CONSTITUTION:A detector in the title comprises a sheath type thermo-couple 2 that is inserted and soldered to near the heat receiving face 5 of a measuring cup 4 that is longer enough than the depth of heat penetration and made of a highly heat conductive body of high melting point. The bottom face of the detector can be mounted with bolts 8 to the low temperature body 7 of the thick wall section of a vacuum vessel and others. The height of the detector is selected so that the heat receiving face and the liner surface are of the same height, and plasma can be directly seen through the hole made in the liner plate. With this arrangement for the detector, when a large heat flux flows in instantaneously to melt the solder material near the type of the thermo-couple, the temperature at the bottom of the detector does not become high temperature that melts the solder material, and it does not occur that the molten solder material at the tip of the termo-couple flows out and the termo-couple comes off the measuring cup.
