摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a method by which it is possible to obtain an A3 B type superconducting wire material having excellent workability and a small AC loss. CONSTITUTION: Filaments 2 of Nb or Nb base alloy are embedded in a matrix 1 of Cu-Sn group alloy so as to form composite material. The composite material is touched to stabilizing material 5 so as to form a single structure. In the single structure, a Ta layer 3 which produces no superconducting compound cooperating with the single structure by heating treatment is arranged along the whole length of the single structure as a diffusion barrier which separates stabilizing metal 5 from the composite material. In a manufacture of superconducting wire material by which the single structure is heating treated so that Nb or Nb group alloy is allowed to react with the Sn of the matrix 1 so as to form a superconducting compound Nb3 Sn, an Nb layer 4 is arranged between the Ta layer 3 and the stabilizing metal 5 as an additional barrier, and processing is conducted. In that case, as the thickness ratio of Ta and Nb, the range of 1:0.3 to 1:3 is selected.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting coil having excellent mechanical strength by a method wherein the coil segment, formed by winding a superconducting conductor through an insulating tape on which an epoxy bonding agent is coated on the surface, is stacked through the intermediary of an insulating spacer, a heat treatment is performed thereon in the state wherein compressive force is added from both end faces of the superconducting conductor. CONSTITUTION:Each pancake coil 1 is formed by winding the material 3, obtained by coating an epoxy bonding agent on both surfaces of a polyimide resin tape, in the reguired number of turns on the wide-widthed surface of the superconducting conductor 2 having a plurality of built-in superconducting wires while the material 3 is being adhered temporarily. A plurality of insulated spacers 4 are radially arranged on the substrate 5 of a pressing jig, a pancake coil 1 is placed on one of the spacers 4, and stacking operation is repeated. After the upper plate 6 of the pressing jig has been placed on the insulated spacers 4 located on the top stage, the coil 1 and the insulated spacers 4 are compressed by tightening them until the interval between the substrate 5 and the upper plate 6 becomes the prescribed measurements. When they are heated up under the compressed state, they become hard after the lapse of the prescribed period of time, and the conductor 2 and the insulated tape 3, located in each pancake coil 1, can be adhered firmly and completely.

Furthermore, the other end of the bar-shaped member 23 projected from the fixing base 12 is threaded, and a lock nut 26 is screwed on it through a washer 25. In the reinforcing winding tensile means 27 consisting of such constitution, by further screwing the lock nut 26 onto the bar-shaped member 23, the bar-shaped member 23 shifts to the side of the lock nut 26. Hereby, the reinforcing winding 11 is stretched.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the process of the extra-fining treatment of Nb filament and also enable the good superconducting property of the wire in the title to be obtained, by collecting or twisting a number of Nb filaments each covered with Al and arranging a metallic pipe outside the collected or twisted wire, and thereafter performing thermal treatments and some other treatments of the wire. CONSTITUTION:A covering film of Al is applied on the outside of Nb filament and a number of Nb filament covered are collected or twisted, and the collected or twisted wire is put in a metallic tube. After hydrostatic pressurization and/or hydrostatic extrusion, the wire is drawn and next subjected to heat treatments for forming Nb3Al, so that a thin Al layer can be formed uniformly on the surface of Nb by subsequent treatments. Al is therefore disposed as an alpha solid solution in Nb during the heat treatments and next an Nb3Al layer is formed. The Nb3Al layer can thus be dispersed uniformly to improve conditions of the heat treatments and also to enhance the superconducting property of the wire.
