    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the operational efficiency and the reliability of a device for treating exhaust gas by improving a conveyor system conveying a particle adsorbent used in a dry-type device for treating exhaust gas. SOLUTION: The conveyor system includes not only a normal circulating line comprising of a first line conveying an adsorbent from the bottom of an adsorbing column 10 to the top of a regenerating column 20 and a second line conveying the adsorbent from the bottom of the regenerating column 20 to the top of the adsorbing column 10 but also a self-circulating line, which is operated instead of the lines, conveying the adsorbent from the bottom of the adsorbing column 10 to the top thereof, and further includes a self-circulating line conveying the adsorbent from the bottom of the regenerating column 20 to the top thereof.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely accumulate part of harmful substance in a regeneration tower by accurately and quickly controlling the temperature of a heater in the regeneration tower. SOLUTION: The dry type desulfurization plant is provided with an adsorbing tower 20 bringing exhaust gas containing harmful substance into contact with a particulate adsorbent A for adsorbing and removing the harmful substance; the regeneration tower 22 heating and regenerating the adsorbent A; and a circulation line 24 circulatingly conveying the adsorbent A between the adsorbing tower 20 and regeneration tower 22. The heater 28 is provided in the regeneration tower 22, and is divided into an upper heating block 32, an intermediate heating block 34, and a lower heating block 36. The respective blocks 32, 34 and 36 are provided with a plurality of electric heating bodies 32a, 34a, 36a, temperature sensors 32b, 34b, 36b detecting temperatures near the heating bodies 32a, 34a, 36a, and controllers 32c, 34c, 36c controlling electrical quantity supplied to the heating bodies 32a, 34a, 36a based on the detected temperatures by the sensors 32b, 34b, 36b.
