CONSTITUTION:A labyrinth packing 20 is provided on the inner peripheral wall of a nozzle box 13 of a steam turbine with a high pressure turbine 1 and a medium pressure turbine 2 axially opposed to each other through a medium gland part 4 in an outer casing 3. Steam leaking from an entrance part of the high pressure first stage rotor blade 7a can be prevented, by means of said packing 20, from flowing to the medium pressure turbine 2 side as cooling steam, and the temperature of the cleaning steam can be held low enough.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively use waste gas to aim at enhancing the output of a steam turbine, by providing a heater in a steam introducing passage in the steam turbine so that steam is heated by a high temperature incondensable gas introduced into the heater from a vacuum compressor. CONSTITUTION:A steam turbine 1 receives steam containing incondensable gas through an inlet steam line 2 to drive a generator 3. Steam discharged from the steam turbine 1 is condensed, and is recovered through a condensing pump 5. The condenser 4 is provided with a vacuum compressor 7, and therefore, incondensable gas in the condenser 4 is extracted through a line 8. In this arrangement, a heater 10 is disposed in the intermediate part of the inlet steam line 2 to heat steam led to the steam turbine 1 with the use of discharged gas as heating medium from a vacuum compressor 7. With this arrangement the heat of discharged gas from the vacuum compressor 7 is effectively used to enhance the output power of the steam turbine 1.

    • PURPOSE:To always realize a stable speed control in which the amount of mixed pressure steam is controlled by an adjusting valve positioned outside of a turbine body, by associatingly controlling the opening degrees of the above-mentioned adjusting valve in accordance with the opening degree of a high pressure steam adjusting valve, with the use of a control device. CONSTITUTION:In a turbine body 1 for driving driven units 2 such as, for example, a generator, etc. high pressure steam is introduced from a high pressure steam line through a high pressure emergency shut-off valve 4 and a high pressure steam adjusting valve 5 while an excess of low mixed pressure steam is introduced from a mixed pressure steam line 8 into the intermediate stages of the turbine body 1 through a mixed pressure steam adjusting valve 6 and a mixed pressure shut-off valve 7. In this arrangement, a control device 12 controls the mixed pressure steam adjusting valve 6 in accordance with the output of an opening degree transmitter 13 which generates signals in accordance with the opening degrees of a pressure adjusting meter 11 for mixed pressure steam and the above-mentioned valve 5. That is, when the high pressure steam adjusting valve 5 is positioned in a predetermined opening degree range, the opening degree of the mixed pressure steam adjusting valve 6 is forcedly controlled to be less if the opening degree of the same exceeds a predetermined value.
