    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycarbonate (PC) resin composition with high transparency and improved rigidity and scratch resistance and a method for producing the polycarbonate (PC) resin composition. SOLUTION: The PC resin composition is produced by chemically binding (A) an inorganic oxide particle with a mean primary particle size of 100 nm or less to (B) a PC resin via (C) a coupling agent represented by the following formula (1) or (2). The method for producing the PC resin composition comprises adding the component (A) and the component (C) into an organic solvent solution of a terminal chloroformate group-containing PC oligomer under acidic conditions, mixing them, and then adding divalent phenol for condensation reaction. In general formula (1): HN(R 3 )-(CH 2 ) m -M 1 (R 1 ) x (OR 2 ) 3-x (1), M 1 denotes a tetravalent metallic element, R 1 , R 2 , and R 3 each independently denotes a group selected from a hydrogen atom, a 1-4C lower alkyl group, and a phenyl group, m denotes an integer between 2 and 8 representing the number of chains of a methylene group, and x denotes 0, 1, or 2. In general formula (2): HS-(CH 2 ) n -M 2 (R 1 ) y (OR 2 ) 3-y (2), M 2 denotes a tetravalent metallic element, R 4 and R 5 each independently denotes a group selected from a hydrogen atom, a 1-4C lower alkyl group and a phenyl group, n denotes an integer between 2 and 8 representing the number of chains of a methylene group, and y denotes 0, 1, or 2.
