    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the temperature distribution inside the vapor phase polymerization tank equipped with single helical blade.
      SOLUTION: The polymerization tank temperature distribution estimating device is equipped with a means that calculates the positions and velocity of the all particles in the stirring place per a certain time through the discrete element method (DEM), a means that calculates the average values of the particle velocity per a certain time in each micro-element and calculates the time-average particle velocity in individual micro-elements, a means that amends this particle velocity so as to satisfy the particle mass preserving formula for every micro-element, a means that uses the amended particle velocity as the initial value of the vapor-liquid velocity, the means that amends the initial value for every micro-element so as to satisfy the vapor-liquid mass preservation formula, a means that calculates the particle enthalpy by using the amended particle velocity, the reaction heat of the particle in every micro element, heat transfer coefficient between the particle and the vapor-liquid, to calculate the corresponding particle temperature, and a means that outputs the calculated particle temperature and the vapor-liquid temperature for every prescribed time interval.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an olefin polymer, enabling stable long-term continuous production by suppressing attachment of a polymer (copolymer) to a mixing blade, generation of abnormal reaction products, and formation of coarse particles as for the method for producing the olefin polymer by a continuous vapor-phase polymerization using a polymerization tank equipped with the mixing blade.
      SOLUTION: A vapor-phase polymerization apparatus is used which has the polymerization tank equipped with the mixing blade and a catalyst-pretreating part.
