    • PURPOSE: To determine the characteristics of a mixture accurately by subtracting the weight of granular material and powder in a filler and the limit quantities of adsorbed water from the weight per unit volume of the filler in most compact state thereby determining the basic quantity of fluid water. CONSTITUTION: Mixture of a powder, e.g. cement or flyash, a granular material, e.g. sand, granular slag or glass spheres, and a liquid, e.g. water, is fully compacted and then the limit relative water adsorption rate of granular material in the mixture is determined along with the water content of powder in the capillary region. The weights of granular material and powder in the filter, the weight of adsorbed water in the granular material determined by multiplying the weight of granular material by the limit relative water adsorption rate and the weight of adsorbed water in the powder obtained by multiplying the weight of powder by the water content in the capillary region are then subtracted from the weight per unit volume of the filler thus obtaining the basic quantity of fluid water. When quantity of fluid water is obtained for various compounds correlate with the basic quantity of fluid water, various characteristics including the moldability and the intensity of freezing or setting image of mixture of liquid, powder and granular material can be determined and grasped accurately.

    • PURPOSE:To test and measure the relative adsorbing water rate of a powder material with high accuracy by separating the liquid component in a sample under the same air pressure condition by the centrifugal force due to the rotation of a rotary body. CONSTITUTION:A processing chamber 30 is provided on a machine stand 20 and a rotary disc 22 being a rotary body is provided on the rotary shaft 23 of a motor mechanism within the processing chamber 30. A plurality of sample setting parts 26 are arranged on the rotary disc 22 on the peripheral side thereof and container receiving members 24 are provided on both sides of the setting parts 26 in a freely tiltable manner. The lower parts of containers 10 are provided in the receiving members 24 in a freely detachable manner and the top parts of the containers 10 are set to open parts and an atmosphere open part is formed on a part of the bottom member 16 forming a filtrate receiving chamber of each of the containers 10. When the liquid component in the sample 11 received in each container 10 is separated when the rotary disc 22 is rotated and transferred to the filtrate receiving chamber, an intermediate cylindrical body 15 and the bottom member 16 are set to the same air pressure condition to smoothly separate a liquid. By testing and measuring the samples 11 in the containers under the same condition, the measured results of a plurality of the samples 11 are obtained under the same condition within a short time.

    • PURPOSE: To measure the characteristics of a mixture by obtaining the underwater unit volume weight of a grain in the most dense state by compacting and filling it in water when obtaining such mixture as mortar where liquid and powder are added to the grain. CONSTITUTION: The grain of a target mixture includes river sand, a thin aggregate such as an artificial thin aggregate, and a fibrous material such as metal fiber and further, as mass-shaped bodies, a rough aggregate of ballast and macadam and each kind of aggregate for giving, for example, sound-screening and heat-insulating property. A liquid is obtained by mixing each kind of assistant and additive to representative water. Also, the grain includes a powdery body used for filling or increasing such as a special cement, stone powder, and clay. While the mixtures are most densely filled by compacting and filling operation, the underwater unit volume weight of the grain is obtained. The characteristics of, for example, the workability, breeding, and fluidizing behavior of the mixture can be measured from the weight and the blend design, manufacture, and control of the mixture of, for example, mortar and concrete can be logically executed by judging characteristics when the blend changes.
